We go to baker Creek as ofter as we can. We first discovered them as a ski location 6 years ago before we lived in Canada. Now we live near Calgarty it's the place where we escape to. The cabins are not massive and not exceptionally well equiped but we've never had any trouble with cleanliness or with service. Dont expect to cook 5 course meals but you can cook basic meals. In winter it is great to sit by the fire in the evening after playing a board game or just reading. Step outside and see the nember of Stars - no light polution here. Sure the trains go by every so often but to us it is a strangely comforting sound in the valley - Its never woken us up. The backroad to Banff is great for spotting wildlife early in the morning or just before sunset - we've seen deer, elk, a couple of wolves and various others. There isn't much room for ski equipment - rent a 4x4 and keep your skis in there or hire a locker at the resorts. We've only once eaten in the restaurant and the food was good although not cheap. Innstead we eat in Banff, 25 mins away. Not the place to stay if you want to have a few drinks with dinner.

We had a wonderful 7 days at Baker Creek. The chalets provided everything we needed for our stay in this beautiful location. We stayed in the ground floor corner apartment which had 2 balconies which gave great views of the mountain, forest and creek. Ideally located for trips to Banff, Lake Louise, Canmore and Morraine Lake.
The Bistro provided us with a wonderful meal on our 2nd night, with a great choice of wines and local beers.
The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful, with nothing being too much trouble.
We will be recommending Baker Creek to all our friends and hope to be back next year for another visit.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom chalet and it was perfect. It was a nice weekend getaway. We brought soup from our freezer to cook for dinner and games to play with the kids in the evening in front of the fireplace. It was great to have separate beds for the kids and so much space.

There's nothing but good things about Baker Creek.

My boyfriend and I stayed at a loft chalet on Valentines day. It's cozy, cute and it has that very rustic feel to it. Everything in it was very well thought out. The flower and the card just as we entered the chalet. The squeaky rocking chair by the wood stove. The booth-like dining table. The well equipped kitchen. I made steak, lobster and steamed veggies for dinner! I like the tap water too. We had dessert at the bistro. Everything in the chalet was clean and the staff is friendly.

I like the tranquility- you could almost hear a pin drop. No TV which is good but they have wireless internet connection. We had so much fun.

I can go on and on...Definitely will go back sometime in the future. The price is so worth it.

We used to live right in Lake Louise and since Baker Creek chalets is less than 15 minutes away we never had any reason to stay there. We have since moved a bit further away to Canmore so we decided to treat ourselves to a night's stay.

While in Lake Louise I had heard a lot of good things about Baker Creek, it definitely lived up to it. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi tub. There are larger chalets with fireplaces and full kitchens. The room was immaculately clean. It was a good size with a very comfortable feeling to it. We could not believe how quiet it was, you could literally hear a pin drop. There are occasional trains that go by the back of the property, but we didn't find them bothersome.

We had dinner at the Bistro. I must say there are not a lot of options for non-meat eaters. There was no actual non-meat entree. If you eat seafood there area lobster perogies and we were told the fettucine pasta could be done without the chicken. We decided to make our meal out of several appetizers. We had a carrot ginger soup. a small bowl of four cheese penne pasta, a cheese and cracker board, and a fresh green salad with a ground mustard/maple dressing with candied pecans, everything was very tasty. The restaurant has the same comfy log cabin atmosphere.

We don't ski, but we saw several people leaving right from the chalets with their skis to head off on the nearby trails.

My only criticism is wishing the menu had a few non-meat entree options or even some kind of fish option, as we do eat that. The other thing is it is the only place to eat on the property and it was only open for dinner. We did not know this and were not prepared ahead of time, as the decision to stay was last minute. So you have to leave the property and either drive back into Lake Louise or I guess Banff would be the only other option for breakfast or lunch if you have not brought your own food with you.

There are no t.v's in the rooms, but I think that is nice. It would just distract from the peaceful and natural environment. We were quite impressed with the amount the fitness room on the property. In the bottom of our building there was a sitting area with a small library as well.
