I hear the apple crumble is to die for but we got there too late in the day and there was none left - but we had some amazing tea and a delicious lemon poppyseed loaf with amazing service and incredible views of Lake Agnus.

After quite a hard hike 3.8k uphill from Lake Louise, it was lovely to stop at Lake Agnes. The tea and scones were very welcome after the hike. Imagine getting all the provisions in and all the garbage out. Worth it just to provide us with very reasonably price food and drinks.

The hike from Lake Louise to the Lake Agnes Teahouse was gorgeous. There were various stops along the way where we could not believe the sights as we marveled at them, they were so majestic. We had bright blue skies to highlight the cathedral mountains and milky marine colors of Lake Louise so far below us.

The trail is difficult, so by the time you reach the Teahouse, it feels like you have reached an oasis in a desert. You need a bit of luck to find an empty table, or plenty of patience. The menu is limited, but homemade, healthy and invigorating. Much of the enjoyment of the Teahouse is its patrons. Everyone seemed lively and having the time of their life in this out-of-the-way hideaway. Such a civilized custom, drinking tea, in the middle of the wilderness of Canada. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

We hiked up to the teahouse on a beautiful day. There were lots of people, but fortunately we managed to get a table. The tea, limonade and sandwiches we had were great. The view is stunning.

We 'hiked' from Lake Louise Inn to Lake Louise, Before continuing on to St Agnes and beyond to Little Beehive viewpoint. Brilliant views. Cafe pleasant but the views and exercise made it worthwhile. Brilliant.
