We stayed here for four days, in two different rooms - not the fault of the hotel (BA strike!). For two days we were in room 109, and for the other two in room 323. Both rooms were excellent - very quiet, and very comfortable. We were so pleased that we chose to stay here, rather than at Lake Louise. The hotel is next to a lovely river, which was a fabulous setting. All the staff were superb, and this was our favourite of several different hotels we stayed at, during our Canadian holiday. Breakfast was excellent - perhaps too large portions - with great service. We had afternoon tea on a couple of days too, which was also very nice. Dinner was superb.
The hotel is only a minute or two from the very small village, which had some useful shops.
We walked up to the actual lake (Louise) one day, which was a lovely walk, next to a beautiful, fast-running, stream, through woodland. It took about an hour, continuously uphill.
If we were returning to Lake Louise, we would undoubtedly stay at this hotel.More
