5 Star service and food in a tranquil spot. Comfortable, well appointed rooms with lighted vanity mirrors and a shower with adjustable and robust water pressure. The bar area is cozy and the Outpost Pub is friendly and casual. We had the Gourmet package and thoroughly enjoyed the SIX course meal with wine pairings. Everyone from the front door greeters to the waitresses and front desk personnel are pleasant and accommodating.

My husband and I stayed at the Post Hotel for 3 nights and everything about our stay was first class from the room to the staff to the beautiful grounds and especially the dining experience. We were overwhelmed by the excellence of the 6 course dinner with wine pairings. Every dish was special in its own way and yet complementing what preceded and followed it and the wines were perfectly selected. Our server, Raoul, timed everything that we never felt rushed and had a chance to savor each course. The next night we chose from the regular menu and were equally impressed with the quality and flavors of our choices. Our server, Leah, also did and a great job and made us feel very special. We had a chance to meet the owner of the hotel and one his sons. They were so gracious and concerned that we were having a very good experience during our stay. This level of personal attention to detail and service really puts the Post Hotel in a category of its own.

We have never been disappointed in Relais et Chateaux properties and the Post Hotel is no exception. Understated, yet extremely comfortable, the Post seeks to fill every want and need. Our room was small yet wisely decorated including ample desk space and 2 super comfortable club chairs. Beds are made with thick duvets and the bathrooms were full of amenities including Aveda products which I personally love. Of note, the hair dryer is on a shelf under the sink and is already plugged in for convenience and to allow for more space on the upper counter.

The restaurant is exceptional and the staff are super friendly and impeccably trained. We did not eat in the Fondue Stube but perhaps on our next trip. Each morning, the hotel provides a coffee urn on the hallway for community access rather then coffee makers in the rooms - much much better!

The bar is particularly comfortable and quaint with a roaring fireplace, moose head above the mantle, plush seating, and carefully arranged lamp lighting. A pianist plays some evenings.

Some reviews have indicated that the Post is very expensive - given the amenities, comfort, and services, we did not find it to be so. In fact, in comparison to other accommodations on the trip, we found this to be the best bang for our buck.

Tiny rooms and high prices, the latter of which lead tourists to believe they're going to be staying at a special place. That is just very untrue. The overall location is great, but don't expect too much quality or you will be disappointed.

Fantastic place to stay. Great location in Banff to visit all the local sights-Lake Loiuse, Morrain Lake, and town. It is pricey but well worth the location and personal service afforded to us. The rooms are outstanding. Plenty of parking space in their private parking lot. The front desk was extremely accommodating as to when to visit local sights and how to do it efficiently. Highly recommend
