The hotel was cute and the location was stellar. However, the front room of the family suite didn’t get cool enough to sleep. The front bed was not soft and the pull out was very loud and squeaky. The staff was very kind, but not the best nights sleep.

We enjoyed a stay in a family suite in one of the units located at the back of the lodge. The balcony overlooks the wooded area and distant peaks. It was truly beautiful. The location is convenient for an evening visit to Lake Louise or Moraine Lake, which is truly the best time to visit either one due to traffic restrictions and crowds during the daytime hours.
The queen bed is located just as you enter the suite. The window in the front bedroom does not open and there is only a storm window that can be opened on the entry door. This faces the walkway. The living space has a pullout sofa that is soft enough but very noisy with any movement. This area also has only one functioning window. The area has a lovely gas fireplace.
The full kitchen is a very nice feature and one that we would have enjoyed if we could have stayed more nights. Books are located in the lobby for a book exchange program. This was a nice feature with our upcoming flights.

We stayed three nights at the Paradise Lodge and Bungalows on our 10-day road trip through the Canadian Rockies. We stayed in the Standard Fairview Suite and we had a separate private bedroom, while there was a sofa in the open living area, where our traveling companions stayed. They told us that they were surprised as to how well they slept on the sofa and it was extremely comfortable. The open area has a well-equipped kitchen that allow you to shop for groceries in the village of Lake Louise, so you don’t have to eat out every meal. We made breakfast ourselves, and then packed a lunch for the day’s activities. The Lodge also provided daily snacks (energy bars) and packets of instant oats for breakfast.
Even though this facility is rich in history, and the cabins appear rustic from the outside, it is modern in the inside.
The facility is well kept and maintained. The staff is friendly and dry helpful.
There is also a coin operated laundry on site, which we used since we were also easy six days into our road trip.
One evening the lodge also arranged for Joel Hagen, a local naturalist, to have an informative talk in the old library in the main building. He shared some of his experiences and wildlife sightings.
This lodge is very close to Lake Louise, and Moraine Lake. Because of its location, you can get up early and reach both lakes for stunning sunrise photos before the crowds get there.
