We loved this place. It's close enough to walk to Lake Louise, which is handy given the crowded parking lots at the lake. We were in a Peyto cabin, which was very nicely appointed and roomy. The gas stove comes in handy even in August. We didn't have a deck, but there are plenty of benches around the property to enjoy the view. The bathtub was heavenly -- room for two. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - they even let us borrow bear spray!

Room Tip: Request a cabin toward the back of the property.

We left Calgary for Banff then drove to Lake Louise with no reservations. The origional plan was to stay at Lake Maligne..the Lake is beautiful but we didnt care for the tour buss activity and crowds. After checking out several places we found Paradise Lodge and the Grizzly Cubs. We stayed 4 days. The property is quiet and close to Lake Louise and the Skoki Lodge trail head Our cabin #9 was charming, lodge chic, comfortable and well equipt for small meals. Modern flat screen TV (we never turned it on) and wifi. Beautiful attention to flowers and landscaping...
A big bonus were the two grizzly bear cubs recently kicked out of the nest that liked hiking on the same trails.. They were totally into digging and flipping boulders for grubs..
The only negative is the "loud bathroom fan/vent". When you turned on the bathroom light the fan/vent was a bit noisy ..problem solved by using bathroom in the dark:0)

Room Tip: We preferred the cabins over the lodge.

We used a small suite here in mid-August for two nights while touring Lake Louise and Banff. The location is terrific--about a mile from the Fairmont Lake Louise and near the drive to Maligne Lake. Go to the Fairmont for lunch and the view and to Maligne Lake for the beauty, but stay at Paradise. Our suite wan't large, and the furniture was dated, but it was well-equipped with a full kitchen .and was very clean.

Room Tip: Get either a cabin or room away from the roadway.

Very clean and relaxing atmosphere. We have our 2 month old baby and grandparents with us. There is 2 separate beds but it has its own privacy and common kitchen & bath. It's a great set-up. We even have separate Ty's. one room has a porch and the view is breath taking.

Although we only stayed one night (8/31), Paradise Lodge left us wanting more. We stayed in the Peyto Cabin which was just perfect for 2 adults. The setting is gorgeous, the grounds and cabin were immaculate, staff was friendly and bed was comfy. A wonderful blend of rustic charm and modern convenience.
(flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, stove, quaint gas fireplace) Kitchen was stocked with all the essentials as well as coffee, teas, oatmeal packets and protein bars.
The bathrom was spacious and had the most wonderful claw foot soaking tub...such a treat after a long day of hiking. Water pressure in the shower was terrific....plenty of hot water.
There's an inviting lodge with a huge fireplace and lots of board games to enjoy. There's also a laundry room on site.
The one negative is that there is no restaurant on site so you do need a car to go shopping or out to eat. We highly recommend the restaurant at the Deer Lodge Hotel....excellent!

We stayed 4 nights at Paradise Lodge & Bungalows and Cabin #21 fit our every need...the cabin was recently refurbished and out of the way, very clean and comfortable. The little kitchenette was just enough to support meals we had and Jack prepared a grill for our use. We had our own little porch which overlooked the mountains. The site is next to the road leading to the Chateau Lake Louise and generally has a good bit of traffic on it but, even with the windows open at night we never heard a any traffic noise. This is a family business is very well run and maintained. ALL the staff (family or not) are very friendly, accommodating and helpful. They seem to really care that you have an enjoyable experience with them. WIFI is free and is exceptionally good. Commercial grade front load washers and gas dryers are available on site at a reasonable cost. We would highly recommend Paradise Lodge & Bungalows to our friends and family and will plan to stay here again when we return to the area.

For a piece of heaven overlooking the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies that is 5 minutes down the road of Lake Louise, choose the Paradise Lodge and Bungalows. These lovely cabins are immaculately clean with kitchens some with stoves, some have microwaves. The grounds, are beautifully landscaped with flowers. The bungalows on the second row away from the road are quieter such as #10, 11, 21.We had cabin #12. Cabin #2 is very noisy from the road. The back decks provide both incredible views and serenity. Without having to put up with bus loads of tourists arriving by the droves at the pricey but elegant Fairmont, we were still able to enjoy the lake and hikes and lunch at the hotel. Then in the evenings, we had dinner in our private and quiet cabin, sat on the deck and enjoyed the serenity.

Room Tip: Ask to see the map of the layout and pick cabins away from the road.
