This is one of the worst hotels I ever stayed. The room is VERY old and shabby( actually the whole building is very old). Room is VERY tiny. The TV should send to museum. And most important, the room is VERY dirty, no sound proof.

The room should only charge around 50, but they charge almost 200.

My suggestion is : try other hotels !

Room Tip: At least you should avoid rooms in building 4.

We stayed for four night in Lake Louise Inn and it was by far the worst hotel in both our trips. The rooms' interior is very old fashioned. When watching tv the only thing you asked yourself is whether the tv or the reception is the bigger problem. You don't have an elevator and the rooms are really dark, even if you seitch the lights on. Our bathroom door didn't even close.

Leaving our room they weren't able to get the railing painting done even though we had to enjoy the fresh smell of paint every night. The pool was closed for unknown reasons twice and the wifi only worked the first night.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel. Maybe think about staying an additional night in Banff. There you can enjoy the way better variety of restaurants as another advantage. Fortunately for us, even four nights go by eventually...

We were extremely disappointed with both the room and the location. Paid $199 plus taxes plus an exorbitant pet fee of $50 for a queen room right on the noisy TransCanada highway. The room is dated, generally without any sound-proofing (being an old wooden structure), the headboards rattle against the wall just by sitting on the bed, the TV is a small 32" relic, the towels are old, there are no glasses - only plastic cups, and the whole room smells like urine. It doesn't matter how the nice the staff may be here, the place is grossly over-priced and unpleasant. In contrast, we stayed at a Best Western Plus in Vernon last night that cost $121 (including pet fee) that was superior to this Lake Louise Inn in every respect. Perhaps, if you don't have to stay in a pet-friendly room, your stay here might rate a more positive review.

Room Tip: The only pet friendly rooms are located in the building right next to the noisy TransCanada highway.

My husband and I stayed at Lake Louise Inn during the flood in southern Alberta in June. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The phone systems were temporarily down throughout Banff and Lake Louise, and one of the staff members offered her personal cell phone so we could call our airline to make changes. We booked our room through hotwire, and the staff were kind enough to grant us an upgraded room since the hotel was not full. This hotel is a much better value than most of the hotels in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Don't stay here. It is old and not kid friendly. The bathtub is pealing and the outside door lock doesn't work. The whole place needs work - the outside of the place needs to be painted. The only estaurant open Sunday evening won't allow kids in it - plus they were rude about it. This place isn't anything like the on line reviews. I won't stay here again.

Nice, clean and conveniently located. Able to walk into town shopping area. Staff helpful. Not exceptional but good value for money. More expensive hotels may offer on the Lake location or on the river location but you can walk/drive to the river or Lake and save money by staying a short distance away. Would consider staying here again.

We spent the night of June 15th at Lake Louise. The room at the Inn was very comfortable and quiet. Very clean. We had a view of the mountains from our room. Easy drive to Lake Louise and Lake Moraine. Both easy to enjoy in one day. Staff were friendly. Upstairs pub had good calzones and cold beer. There were several families enjoying pizza. Breakfast the next morning in the downstairs restaurant was good, menu or buffet is offered. Staff were very friendly, large parking area also. Inn is close to small shopping area, in walking distance. Free WIFI, swimming pool and large hot tub spa available.

Room Tip: We like to stay away from elevators.
