We stayed at the Lake Louise Inn in January 2013. We had booked a Queen Suite in order to have a refrigerator in the room. The location of the Inn in proximity to the Lake Louise ski hill was under 5 minutes. The room itself looked to be newly renovated and very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is very basic and had good water pressure, Since we were there mid-week, we had the building pretty much to ourselves so in order to get hot water to the shower and sink, we had to run the water for at least 5 minutes. We ate at the Explorers Pub two nights and the prices were reasonable for Lake Louise. We also ordered pizza from the restaurant in the main hotel building and it was very good. In hindsight, we would have paid extra to upgrade to a condo with full kitchen as dining out in Lake Louise is quite pricey and a fireplace would have been nice. We used the hot tub in the main building a couple of times and it was very clean and efficient after a day of skiing. There is a Starbucks in the main lobby of the hotel which is very convenient as the coffee provided in the room is not very strong. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: Spend the extra for a suite with a kitchen

We paid way too much for this place and that was after a Group-on Coupon!
Here are some observations:
- room was dirty
- room had not been upgraded since 1990's (hunter green walls and carpets)
- staff was slow at restaurant and rude at front desk
- jacuzzi was closed (one of them) because too many people sat in it and it flooded - should there not be some sort of safeguard on it?
- beds were old and uncomfortable.

Overall, run away from this place, no matter how good a deal you get online for it! I think there is a reason this place relies on Groupon.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel.

My wife and I stayed here via a 'Groupon' deal (2 nights for the price of 1). I read a lot of reviews before booking this option and I have to say we did not experience anything negative about this hotel. We had an 'Executive Queen' Room...newly upgraded, flat screen tv, mini-fridge, very nice room. From what I've been reading, it's worth the price to upgrade to an 'Executive' Room over standard Queen rooms.

Everything was clean, hotel staff friendly, parking was busy but ample areas to park close to out building. Very easy to walk to the Samson Mall (shops/restaurant/small grocery store)...took only five minutes. They have free WiFi internet, we used in our room and was a great feature.

We ate at the 'Explorers Lounge' restaurant once, pretty good food. Prices are fairly reasonable for an isolated resort town. We did not use the pool facilities, looked pretty busy.

Overall, great place to stay and I know we'll be coming back soon!

Room Tip: Upgrade to 'Executive' Rooms (2 Queen Room - Flat Screen TV, Refrigerator) Walk to the Sam...

Where to begin, a family trip to the mountains with our two children to experience the Lake Louise Ice Magic Festival. Checking went smoothly and that was about it! The King Loft suite was poorly cleaned, bugs, moths and dead insects from the summer or winter still were perched up on mantles and the ceiling fan. Poor toilets that we constantly backed up, coffee maker was broken, the place sleeps 8 but comes with only a bar fridge for storage of groceries. The mattresses looked like they were from a University dorm that had 15 plus years of usage. We moved one and after moving it we wished we hadn't :-( The food from both restaurants was terrible, and overall just a bad experience and will never return. Sad part was brought all of this attention to the management and front desk and there reply was sorry you didn't enjoy your stay and nothing more. First time in my 38 years that I have stayed at hotel with no discount, no offer of anything with all the issues we brought up. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND TO STAY HERE!

Room Tip: Avoid at all cause and invest in a different location

We stayed here for a couple of nights earlier this month. We had one of the Bighorn Family Suites and it had ample room for our two small children and us. Having a kitchen with small fridge, stove and dishwasher was nice. The room had a few issues (pilot light in the furnace was out), and the door lock for our ski locker was a bit sticky, but problems were addressed promptly. We weren't happy with the hotel pool. For some reason, the water was frigid. You'd think that for the amount you pay for the accomodation that the pool would be heated in winter. Apart from that, we were satisfied with our stay.

We love Lake Louise but don't always have the budget to stay at more expensive hotels in the area. We were totally impressed with the value of our room, with great amenities onsite, and fantasic access to Lake Louise ski resort very nearby. We enjoyed our meals there and plan to go back for a longer stay, this time with our child, very soon. Clean, convenient, and worth checking out!

Room Tip: Booking as a ski package with lift tickets included is really excellent value for the area!

We stayed 2 nights in the Superior Studio Suite this past weekend and loved it!! I read the previous negative reviews and designed to disregard them and give this place the benefit of the doubt and we are so glad we did.

The room was well appointed, the wood fire place was soo romantic and wood was plentiful. It was a beautiful room. The kitchenette was well equiped, the bathroom clean and modern. I couldn't say anything negative at all. The outdoor view with the snow was breathtaking.

Loved the outdoor skating rink, the location was great and everything was just perfect! The front staff, the restaurant and the pool/hot tub was great! Everything was clean and service was attentive.

Had an amazing visit and was really happy we did. We will cetainly be back and recommend Lake Louise Inn to friends!!! We can't wait to come here and go hiking in the summer.

Room Tip: Pay the money and get a excecutive room! So worth the money! Love the fireplace!!
