My family and I went on a 4 hour privately guided snowshoeing tour with Joel this past weekend. It was a great experience, we had never been snowshoeing before and Joel provided the perfect amount of physical difficulty that we were looking for. We learned a lot about the area as we went and were shown the various impacts the animals and weather have on the area. Also, hot chocolate and homemade bars were provided which were delicious halfway through our tour. We would definitely recommend the Great Divide for any outdoor experience and we look forward to seeing them again in the summer!

Four of us had a great few hours of snowshoeing. It was very well lead by Joel and the trip was broken up perfectly by interesting information about the area. It did not seem like hard work as the scenery was amazing. I would recommend for anyone.

My boyfriend and I travelled to the rockies in June 2013. At the time, the area was affected by the Alberta floods making it very difficult to get into Banff via Canmore. We emailed Nadine thinking we would have to miss out on visiting Banff but she was so helpful, she kept us up to date on road openings and eventually was able to guide us in via another entrance - it added about 5 hours to the trip but we made it safely!

Due to the flooding, we had to pull out of some activities, but luckily, Lake Louise was safe so we were able to continue on with the guided walk. Everyone had pulled out of the guided walk so we were very lucky to get Nadine on our own! We did the Plain of Six Glaciers trail which we highly recommend, it was definitely the highlight of the trip!

Nadine was so wonderful, answering all of our questions and providing a thorough history of the area as well as knowledge of area's flora and fauna. She was clearly very passionate about her job, the area and the overall environment, I really enjoyed her knowledge and enthusiasm.

The walk itself was so much fun and was very easy, we did it at a leisurely pace taking in all of the sights and Nadine's wisdom along the way. We were also lucky enough to see a number of avalanches - coming from Australia this was very exciting for us! The weather was perfect for us, although it did get pretty cold up around the glaciers so heed Nadine's advice regarding weather and clothing on the day of your walk.

I look back at our time in the rockies and this walk really stands out as a highlight for us. If you're interested in knowing a bit more about the area, its geological history, biodiversity and current issues affecting it then I highly recommend that you book with Nadine.

After all, you're in this truly beautiful landscape, why not enrich your experience and understand it a little better? Like one other reviewer has said "it's absolutely more than just a hike in beautiful surroundings".

Thanks Nadine - you are the best! I really hope we can make it back someday, we'd love to walk with you again :)

Had a great time snowshoeing with Joel. Apart from the incredible knowledge he has about the place, he was very accommodating, respectful, patient, and genuinely nice (very Canadian!). My wife was new to the cold and wasn't so comfortable after a while. He immediately provided her a hand warmer and throughout the trip made sure that she stayed comfortable by checking on her often. The entire trip was organized very well. The cookies and hot chocolate/herbal tea during the trip was a nice touch.
