The lake is extremely beautiful and the colour of the water is a vivid aqua. It has spectacular mountains surrounding it and the view of the lake form the rock pile (you have to climb a number of steps on a rock wall) you get an amazing view of the Lake and the mountains. It is also less crowded than Lake Louise though the day we were there in late June it was very windy and they had cancelled the canoeing. This is one of the most beautiful spots in the Banff region.
