We actually found the Falls due to our GyPSy Guide app we were using to tour the Banff area. One section of the drive takes you up the road along the Bow River and past the Golf Course. One of the first stops was at the Bow River Falls. We listened to the app explanation of the Falls then stopped and walked around the area to get a better view. Well worth the short drive from Banff to see the falls.

Take time to head down hill from the iconic Fairmont Hotel to find a great (but busy) spot to see the falls, and spectacular surrounding landscape.

Good walk along the river till just before falls where you go up and down steps. Worth the walk to see the falls which are in picturesque setting

We walked along the Bows Falls trail from the main bridge in Banff to the falls. It is a nice steady trail with rises and falls but it has good steps with hand rails to use if needed. The view of the falls and the basin at the end are wonderful. If the walk is too much for you, you can drive down to the falls.

Well worth the short walk from Banff.
The water fall is lovely.
Could do with a cafe there as it was hot!
