Walk was nice and appreciated for elderly people we were with. You will like the benches along the way from the town of banff and walk over the newly constructed bridge is a treat. Nice way to spend a couple hours in Banff and would recommend.

I have been to this lovely place 3 times before, and it's beautiful ! this time I will go hiking and try to see something I haven't seen before. you can literally spend a whole day at the Fairmont Banff Springs Resort and the falls area and just take it easy. highly recommended as a stop to see if you are in Banff for the first time.

It's incredible what you find at the end of a trail, when simply going for a stroll with a very large smoothie on a very hot day. The falls are within walking distance of the village, around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace; you do need to be ok with steps as there is a pretty large set up and another set down to the falls, and the car park if you have a car, where you can watch people canoeing and take some great pictures. Maybe it's not as talked about as the gondola, but it's definately worth a visit.

We did a small hike along the Bow River and saw the falls towards the end. It is about 30 minutes of scenic hike and well worth it after a nice lunch or a snack . You may see a deer or an Elk grazing around . Good to do with Kids as well .

Great place to visit in warm weather but in winter it is frozen. Location is on the road toward Banff Springs hotel which all signage in town has directions.
