We first tried Masala a couple of months ago and were pleasantly surprised. First good sign: lots of customers of South Asian ancestry. Second: prompt, friendly service from a cheerful young woman who knew her menu and was able to match our tastes with what she could offer. They have the usual Indian restaurant selections, but always freshly cooked and piping hot. We asked for medium spicing and that's what we got - just spicy enough. The bison dishes are definitely worth trying. So is the salty lassi, an excellent alternative to beer (just ask them to go easy on the salt).
This is a great place to go before a show at the Banff Centre.
