Description: Our Story Begins in Ireland Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, St. James's Gate, established in 1996, was built and manufactured in Dublin, Ireland. The authenticity of the imported Irish woodwork and fantastic artifacts make St. James Gate one of the premier Irish Pubs in the world. The Gate has a warm friendly atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Rub shoulders with local residents and tourists from around the world. The bartenders are friendly and prepare the drinks with care and consideration and the staff proves just what a capable & fun group of servers is worth. It's everything an Irish Pub should be.

Stayed in Banff for a couple of nights in July at the end of touring Rockies on a Harley. First night enjoyed a few beers here and indulged in the Liver and Onions. OMG - didn't look that much on the plate but ..... hardly room for more beers. Nice decor and background music, authentic Irish bar which evidently was built first in Dublin then transported. Waitress service also good. Tried it again the next night but was full... enough said!

Had an excellent time sampling beers from all over, really enjoyed the boxtys and the local band playing was really entertaining! I'll go back next time in Banff!

Really enjoyed a flight of beers and some seafood boxty here. There wasn't live music at the time we came by but they had a great selection of taped Irish Music - some I hadn't heard in years - but not so loud you couldn't talk. Can't remember the names of the beers we tried in the flight but they were all good, and the seafood boxty was one of the best meals we had in Banff. And the atmosphere made you feel you were in Ireland.

The atmosphere, a variety of odd beers (strawberry) and a great macaroni and cheese. I like the dark decor.
