I picked this hotel from the other reviews of tripadvisor and I confirm everything was said before. Clean and modern hotel, with a beautiful fireplace in the entrance, helpful staff and great facilities.

So much choice in Banff. After lots of searing I had to choose the Fox Hotel & Suites in Banff and im glad I did.
When we arrive we were greated by a friendly receptionist we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a 1 bed suite (we had booked the 2 bed hotel room) at half price of $35.
Of course I did and im glad I did. Although it wasnt as big as some 1 bed suites it was comfortable. we entered the suite and had a samll kitchen area, a table with chairs a sofa bed and chair and a big tv. downstairs were 2 double beds, bathroom and closet with a safe.
Downstairs was the "cave" as my Son called it, a hot spring in a cave. It was bliss!
There was laundry facilities also.
The free internet was fast and we also had free parking and breakfast which was great.
Only a short walk to the main shops.
Would rate 10/10

Great location, 10 - 15 minutes walk into Banff town centre. High standard of cleanliness in all areas. Wonderfully accommodating, friendly and efficiently helpful staff again in all areas. Our only criticism of this hotel would be the basic equipment in the kitchenette areas as they would benefit from a stove, however we would absolutely recommend The Fox if staying in Banff.

We stayed at the Fox Suites until December 24th. The hotel was excellent and well presented. The hotel staff were very efficient and polite and unlike some hotels in the UK couldn't do enough for you. We upgraded our room when we got there for $25 per night which was well worth it with Children as when we looked at the basic rooms they looked small for a family of four and the suite that we upgraded to offered us a seperate bedroom from the lounge and a kitchen area. The hotel offered the use of a heated pool which was based on the original Banff hot springs, this pool was very welcome after a days skiing. The hotel was excellent value as unlike the other hotels we stayed in whilst in Alberta we were given free heated underground parking and a decent continental breakfast which included make your own waffles. The Fox Suites was about a 15 minute walk from the centre of town but offered a free bus service for those who didn't want to make the walk. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and we will be going back when we make our next trip to Banff.

We stayed at The Fox for 4 nights in November. When you walk in there is a roaring wood fireplace and a beautiful grotto- themed fountain with fabulous woodwork everywhere. We were disappointed that the spa is out of order, but then rejoiced when they handed us the names of 3 other hotels that we could visit for hot soaks. The rooms are fantastic! We had a mini kitchen attached to a living room with a fold out sofa and the space utilization in there was great. The furnishings were cozy mountain meets mod. The crank out windows actually work and the Christmas lights outside were lovely. The bed was comfortable and the linens soft. Strangely, if you didn't bring your laptop a computer was available that you feed coins to for internet time. And, we did struggle a bit to keep the furnace temperature where we wanted it. Also, a caution that the walk to downtown was just a bit far for our 5 year old to do every time. The parking is great under the hotel and WARM and they offer ski storage.
