My spouse and I stayed here for two nights on our first getaway alone since our son was born.

We stayed in the Premier King Loft facing the street. Here are some pros and cons of our experience:

Pros:
- continental breakfast
- hot tub/pool area
- room was extremely clean and well kept
- Fireplace
- Kitchenette
- free underground parking
- neat Banff townsite
- Balcony

Cons:
- hotel room had a lingering campfire smell
- no extra blankets in the room
- noisy kitchen exhaust from Chilis restaurant could be heard all day and night
- gym facility is lacking

Would I stay here or recommend to others? Absolutely! Not recommended for families but great for adults or parents with older children.

We have stayed at the hotel 4 nights. This is a nice and new hotel. Our room was pretty dark though as there was only one lamp. The same counts for the bathroom. We have missed a spot light next to the mirror. Great warmed parking in the basement and hot pool. The gym was tiny. Very nice and informative staff. Generally great atmosphere. Breakfast was average in our European eyes. Each morning we had to ask for a stronger coffee as this.
Overall I would recommend this place. Nice and warm atmosphere.

Stopped one night on our tour of Canada and served very nicely. Room a little small but clean and well appointed. Could have upgraded for extra $20 but only stayed the one night. Walkable into main area of town, but about 15/20 minutes. Hotel issues free bus passes if needed. Large parking area in basement and hotpool also in basement, Breakfast a bit limited, served in Chilli's restaurant but OK for our one night stopover.

We stayed 4 nights at the Fox hotel in Banff in September 2013. We chose a loft suite, which came with a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, dishes, balcony, separate living room, and upstairs loft bedroom.

The room was clean and bright with marvelous views of banff and the mountains. The balcony was perfect for sitting out with a drink (although the weather does tend to be cool in September mornings). Despite the cooler temperatures at night, we did find the room quite hot, as the air conditioner is downstairs and does not cool the upstairs very well. You do need to keep the windows shut, as early morning buses (5 or 6am) make quite a lot of noise if you leave them open, as well as you can hear the street.

The hotel had a small work out room, and a very interesting "Grotto-style" hot tub area. It consisted of several pools in a cave-like setting with a sky light open on top. We had never seen anything quite like it - it was very unique, although the chlorine level was very high. There is also a sauna, which we did not use. It would have been nice if the hotel had an agreement with another hotel to use their pool, as after a day of hiking a swim would have been very relaxing.

Breakfast was included each morning and consists of fruit, waffles (which you make yourself), boiled eggs, yogurt, breads, muffins and other pastries, tea, coffee, and juice. It was better then expected for a continental breakfast and the servers were always very friendly.

We would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The loft was very nice.
