“Warm and welcoming”

I thought I had written a review just after staying after Easter but just wanted to thank Connie for a most enjoyable and comfortable stay. We had four most enjoyable nights in Banff, thanks largely to Connie's warm, relaxed and open hospitality.

Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very indulgent to have fresh towels each day and breakfasts delicious and plentiful.

The weather was unseasonably bad but that did not stop us having a memorable time with Connie. Thank you.

We stayed two nights at the Banff Avenue B&B last week -- and absolutely loved it! It was like a home away from home. Upon arrival, Jamie sat down and thoroughly explained a map of Banff to us -- which truly guided our whole trip! He suggested some well-known stops, as well as some "hidden gems," all of which were wonderful! Connie greets you everyday with a big smile -- and the breakfast is phenomenal... a great way to start your day. Little touches like fresh, fluffy towels and mints on the bedside table make you feel well taken care of. You will love the Banff Avenue B&B!

We sayed with Connie for 2 nights andvhad a great time. We were warmly welcomed with coffee and home made treats. It was great that Connie satvwith us and had a great conversation about the area and general interests. We also were fortunate to stayvwith some very lively people from the UK and the US. The conversation and kughs made fir a wonderful say nit to mention Connies yummy pancakes. She also wentvabove and beyond the call ofvduty by taking usvto train station early in the morning and still had time to prepare us a wonderful brekky. Really really enjoyed our time here.

We only had two nights here after spending a few days in Jasper. The B&B is in a really good location, easy to walk into town for restaurants and bars but far enough along the street not to be too noisy. Connie was an excellent host, serving delicious breakfasts (including an early one on our last morning when we had to leave early), and provding us with heaps of local knowledge, maps, restaurant guides and suggested itineraries. Banff itself is much busier than Jasper and although the park itself is very impressive we saw less wildlife (and fewer bears) here than Jasper. A trip to Lake Louise (with lunch at the fairmont) was a definite highlight and we really enjoyed the drive along the Bow Valley Parkway (see the Grizzly bear pic). If you are looking for a B&B in Banff then you can't go far wrong with this one!

We stayed in may 2011. Connie is a fabulous host - warm and friendly. She informed us of good things to do and see as well as the history of the local area. The room was pleasant, breakfast satisfying and we were certainly made to feel at home. This was the best B&B we stayed in during our stay in Canada.

Really enjoyable stay. Connie (the owner) was exceptionally informative and knowledgable about the local area really assisting us in planning our stay. The homemade breakfasts set you up for the day, and the rooms were warm, cosy and exactly what we wanted.

This was our second stay at Banff Avenue B&B after a most enjoyable visit several months prior. The rooms and property are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Connie is a friendly, welcoming host and we immediately felt at home. We enjoyed chatting with her, learning about the history of the area as well as places to go for the best scenery or wildlife viewing for the time of year. As an example of her hospitality, she even lent us a can of bear spray which we thankfully didn’t have to use.

Breakfasts were very generous and delicious, consisting of yoghurt, fruit and cooked items which were different every morning. We came back from a hike one afternoon to some freshly baked banana bread which, together with some tea, was a perfect way to unwind. Tea, coffee and biscuits were always available in the kitchen.

Banff Avenue B&B is in a great location being a short walk from the centre of town and with beautiful mountain views from the living room. We enjoyed dining at places that Connie had recommended.

All three rooms have an ensuite. On our two visits, we have stayed in the downstairs bedroom and the upstairs bedrooms on the right. The downstairs bedroom is accessed via the guest sitting room. The upstairs bedroom had a view of snow-capped mountains. Both rooms were comfortable although the downstairs room seemed a bit larger.

Banff Avenue B&B will be our first choice again if we have the opportunity to return to the Rockies and we would highly recommend it to anyone.
