Iif you are traveling on a budget, but want an excellent meal for a reasonable price, go to Bumpers at the Rundlestone Lodge on Banff Avenue, and order the ribeye sandwich in the bar, not the dining room--you won't regret it.

Open most of the day from 6:30am till 11pm(?). Then you can always get food in their lounge. Don't miss their delicious menu for breakfast!

Food was very good plus extensive salad bar made this a most enjoyable meal. Whilst is some distance from the town centre it was worth it, made so by the attentive staff.
We all had different chicken dishes which were well cooked and very enjoyable.

Service for Breakfast was great and the Eggs Benedict was done to perfection ... As a great treat the bacon on the side was also perfectly done.

Some locals recommended this restaurant, it is quite far from the town centre and is actually situated inside a hotel. You can eat in either the restaurant or in the bar and the menus are quite similar, expect for the price.

We shared prime rib and a rack of baby back ribs with sweet potato fries . It came with a salad bar which you could help yourself to. The meat was amazing, nothing like I have ever tasted before. The best prime rib ever.

We shared a meal ($35) and brought an extra salad bar (which was about $13). We had one beer and one soft drink. The overall total came to about $61.

I would definitely eat there again and wish we could go back (but we were travelling through the Rockies so didn't get chance to visit banff again)
