With all the money they spent to rejuvenate it why not allow some original experience opportunities? It was odd considering this is the area where the Park all started..

Not just a diversion, rather a detailed look into how some brave and adventurous explorers discovered one of the most interesting caves in the Banff area.

This was poor, relatively inexpensive but the cave access is really small and you can't touch the water as they are protecting the snails. Difficult to stop 2 kids when that's all they wanted to do. Boardwalk was quite nice but a bit limited in scope, wouldn't rush back.

it's a 15 minute exhibition: a small cave; a hall with short films and a small hot springs. We were there at 9am, but they open at 10am. So we went for a short hike down near the swamp. Beware of mosquitos - tons of them there. Layer clothes and 'OFF' are the best to keep them from biting you.

This was an extra on our tour so the small fee was appreciated. Very close to town and you can do this in a couple hours depending on how much time you spend on the parks exhibit. The exhibit room was very modern, informative and well laid out.. Many videos showing the pioneers of the Canadian Park System and its beginnings. I enjoy history so it was a big plus for me. It also had a photo machine that sent your photo email to multiple recipients. It was working fine when we were there. It was a fun thing to do so friends and family can get a pic of you on your travels. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. . We were really wanting to actually swim in a hot springs but was not permitted here. The Banff Hot Springs was little more than a swimming pool and smelled more like chlorine than the usual sulphur smell you expect from the springs( that place was VERY disappointing)
