We spent a couple of days visiting Banff and Jasper National Parks. While booking this trip we did not want to stay in crowded towns and found these cabins as a wonderful alternative. The location is between Banff and Lake Louise between Highways 1 and 1B on Highway 93. The one bedroom cabin is large for two people. The kitchen is stocked with plates, cups etc and the three skylights, front porch and fireplace all added to the cabin. A small grocery store on site is also where check-in is located. These cabins are near the railroad tracks and yes you hear trains, for us that was a plus. We even saw the Rocky Mountaineer tourist train go by. WiFi is spotty, which didn't matter to us. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely come back here.

My second stay at this wonderful location was better than my first ( which was very good ) as I was in a larger chalet with a real wood fireplace. The chalet is very well equipped: full kitchen, jacuzzi and that fireplace. It was great on a cold wet day to light a real fire and warm up / dry out. Worth the price, especially if you do you own cooking as there is not a restaurant on site. Why 4 stars not 5 - not restaurant and it takes the Banff Springs to get a 5 out of me.

Castle Mountain Chalet is one of the best cabins we have ever stayed at. I am only giving it four stars because of proximity to railway tracks, and poor WiFi connectivity.

We stayed five nights in the one bedroom log cabin #3 "Pine Chalet". It was exactly as pictured on the web: a large living room with a floor to ceiling stone fire-place, pull-out sofa, chairs, flat screen TV, and dining table, full sized kitchen equipped with dishes and utensils for basic meals. The cabin had high/cathedral ceilings with three large skylights, and large bedroom with very comfortable mattress. The front desk and housekeeping staff was very helpful and courteous. The in-cabin coffee and toiletries were also very good quality. They also had a large recreation room with table tennis, and Foosball table, nice outdoor deck and a commercial grill.

Cabins are centrally located to Banff, Yoho, Kooteni, Lake Louise, and Icefield Parkway, Overall, we had a great stay with our family. We will definitely be back in future.

Room Tip: Ask for cabin away from railway line

Loved our 3 night stay. Had everything we needed, small living area, kitchenette, and table. It is located in a great spot for exploring the whole park. It is on the Bow Valley Parkway halfway between Lake Louise and Banff. We enjoyed having a place to make meals and using the table for card games. It was very clean, and we enjoyed the amenities of a hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
