We stayed in a Two Bedroom cabin at Castle Mountain Chalets and it was fantastic. As the website states, this property really is in the heart of Banff National Park, and is very close to the trailheads of a variety of amazing hikes / backcountry trips. A perfect place to stay to ensure an early start to your hike! We hiked up to Shadow Lake after our stay at Castl Mtn via Red Earth Creek, which was only a few minutes drive.
The property itself is gorgeous, there is an outdor hot-tub and activity center, and there is also a store for anything you may need including wine.
The cabin we stayed in was awesome. A perfect balance of rustic luxury, and the beds were amazing!
Stay here!!

Great setting below Castle Mountain with comfortable and very well equiped chalets serviced daily. Got woken by freight trains crossing nearby and sounding their horns but began to sleep through these after a few nights. Friendly and helpful staff and general store selling basic foodstuff, gifts and fuel. Good walks nearby and plenty of wildlife. Good touring location to get to Lake Louise, Banff and surrounding attractions. Really enjoyed our stay here.

The Castle Mountain Chalets was our favorite lodging in a 2 week stay in Alberta and British Columbia. You can't beat the location. It is great for Banff, Lake Louise, Yoho and Kootenay. Jasper is still a little too far away. The cabin itself was great. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room. There was only one bathroom. But the kitchen, living room and bedrooms were of good size. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked every day we were there. There was a great gas fireplace that we enjoyed. The DVD player worked great and there was a fire pit for roasting marshmallows - wood provided. The laundry was clean and well kept. There is limited parking, only one space per cabin. Given how expensive the area is anyway, we were pleased with the cost. $289 per night for all 5 of us was a pretty good deal. The staff was very helpful. My only issue is that this was a duplex cabin. The first night we were there we had some rowdy neighbors next door and the you could hear every word. The walls were thin. But they left the next day and we had no further issues. I would stay there again with no hesitation.

Room Tip: easily room for 5 in #15 and #17

We had another wonderful stay at castle mountain chalets. This was our third time there and we will go back for sure. The chalets and property are extremely well taken care of and clean. The staff is always friendly and the location is excellent!

I'd definitely return there, we stayed one night only because of our rush, it was like a music pause. All natural materials, fireplace, excellent views, outdoor hot tube.

Fully recovered after 20 hours in a cars.

They have own gas pump (what was really useful for me), souvenirs shop and many other cool stuff.
