Easy to Navigate and somewhat scenic as you get good view of one of the mountains at sunrise. Also required if you want to get to the campground!

This is a nice drive if you have time to spare or want to take a scenic route back into town.
Although called tunnel mountain drive there is no tunnel, this is a historical reference.

If this were elsewhere it would probably warrant a higher rating, however Banff is in the middle of pristine wilderness and has so much else to see.

If you are here for a few days drive through, if you don't get chance you are not missing out on anything

This is one of those "you should drive it just because it's charming" things. Although not an example of beautifully pristine nature, it gives you the feeling of the Rocky Mountains in its short distance.

Well, it is something to do. And the views are pretty enough. Not much for wildlife. We enjoyed the drive to Spray Lake and Peter Lougheed out of Canmore, Yoho, or Yellowhead Pass much more. Better scenery, better wildlife, less tourist.

Just up the hill from the town of Banff ... if you follow the road around there is a great viewpoint overlooking the Banff Springs Hotel and The Banff Centre is on Tunnel Mountain ... they have many artists, bands etc. performing here .... Check their website.
