We stayed in one of the bi-level units that had two queens beds on the third floor and a queen bed in the loft.

The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Our unit had a small fridge which came in handy chilling some beer while we explored Banff. My only quibble is that the pillows were a bit hard.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The free continental breakfast was okay but basic. Juice, tea, coffee, toast, bagel, jams, cereal and hard boiled eggs were available. I found the eggs a bit too hard, cold and tasteless. The breakfast room becomes Carlito's Pizzaria later in the day so they do have the facilities to provide a better breakfast. If only.

The parking is free and secure in the basement. The location is very good and it's only a short walk to everything in Banff.

Actually, we liked this place so much that we booked into a bi-level unit on our return trip.

So, yes, if there were down pillows on the beds and if the breakfast was a bit better, this would be an excellent hotel.

This inn is in a convenient yet quieter part of Banff Ave, away from downtown bustle. A very pretty, bright and clean bedroom and gracious staff. I did not use the hot tub and thought the breakfast was a little too basic, but for the price was very pleased overall, and would certainly stay there again. Dined at Melissa's twice and also Bumper's which is close to the hotel, but unfortunately closing down shortly. Both restaurants excellent value.

We had a pleasant overnight stay at the Banff Inn.
We booked online and the check-in process was quick and efficient. The room was not the most modern, but very clean, comfortable and the king size bed was great! The bathroom was spotless! We had a lovely view of the mountains and no noise or disturbance of any kind.
As mentioned in some of the other reviews, it would be nice if a mini fridge could be placed in the rooms. There were no tea bags or milk in the room - we were given tea bags and milk by a staff member upon request so no real crisis there...
We had a light dinner at the pizzeria and found the service to be friendly and efficient - the food was tasty and the drinks and atmosphere were good.
The front desk staff was helpful whenever we approached them, however they could work on their friendliness and going the extre mile for guests.
Breakfast was ample and we had no difficulty finding a table and we had more than enough to eat. We were wondering why paper cups and plates are being used - not that it bothered us too much, we were just wondering...
Checkout happened smoothly and the free wifi was a real bonus while waiting for our bus to arrive.
Overall we were quite satisfied with our stay & will consider visiting again in future :-)

We stayed at the Banff Inn for 4 nights. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, and air conditioned, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a typical hotel breakfast with toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs. We found if we went down before 9:00 am it was packed, our first morning we had to eat in our room. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to downtown but with the mountains all around you it is beautiful. There is public transit with a stop in front of the hotel next door, which will take you downtown if you don't want to walk it. It is $2.00 to ride the bus. We rode it to the Gondola. There are also taxis. We ate in the pub in the hotel, Carlito's. The pizza is very good. The hot tub, sauna and steam room were all nice and after a day of hiking it was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel through a deal we found on Travel Zoo. The rooms were comfortable and clean, though not luxurious. The pub downstairs was nice. The breakfast was your standard continental breakfast, though the room it is served in is rather small. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The decor was lovely and created a nice atmosphere. It was nice to have the underground parking garage, though it is a little bit of a tight squeeze for bigger vehicles. The saunas (wet and dry) and the hot tub were very nice. It is a little ways out of downtown Banff. Neither of us are really stick-around-the-room kind of people, so we were out a lot during the days and evenings. We found it to be good value for a comfortable weekend stay in Banff.
