We stayed here for two nights and the hotel is okay for that duration. I thought the lobby was quite charming and staff on reception helpful. The rooms are okay but really dark, hardly any natural light reached our room and we had to keep the lights on in the morning and early evening despite it being sunny outside. Beds are comfortable and good shower. It is a pleasant walk into town. I was put off by the dark room and that is the only reason that I could only recommend this hotel if you are staying for a short time.

3 of us stayed here for a couple of days. Rooms were clean, beds, and pillows were comfy, no complaints there. The spa is a little overpriced but the treatment were ok, not spectacular, just average. There is no private hot tub area for the spa, just the main hotel accessible area. The hot tub is one of the largest i've seen in a hotel, but there is no pool. It was also one of the dirtiest, as the tiles need a scrubbing, they are grungy. The sauna needs some tlc as it was also dirty, moldy to be specific. Surprising as this is called a spa. The gym is small but for me walking uptown in the fresh air and great scenery is where I would rather be. This hotel is in the perfect location for doing just that, we walked everywhere, but if walking is not for you, public transportation is just right out the door. This hotel has a keg for a restaurant and it makes a great breakfast for 13 bucks, very reasonable considering your in Banff. Been to Banff many times but first time staying here, did so mostly for the spa, would try somewhere else next time.

Room Tip: We stayed on the lower floor, good view of grass but we went for spa so very convenient to spa and hot tubs.

Had a comfortable room in a hotel which is in the quieter area of Banff, but only a short walk, or free bus ride, from the centre of town. Restaurant in the building for breakfast and dinner was good.

Paid a premium price for a superior room and we were placed in the smallest room I’ve ever been in. The decor was tired, popcorn on the vents, window barely opened and our view was staff housing. Right outside our door was A/c blowing full force and it rattled the door constantly. As soon as we got to the room, we asked if we could be switched and were told no. Asked if we could switch hotels with minimal penalty and that also wasn’t an option as they would go ahead and charge us the full amount if we left. We weren’t in the room for more than 5 minutes. We planned this getaway weeks in advance and had spa treatments and ate in the restaurant. We spent a significant amount of money there to be offered no help or solutions by the cranky lady at the check in desk. I stay in Banff a couple times a year and would recommend any other hotel on the Banff Ave strip. Nicer rooms for the most and friendly and helpful staff.

We were assigned to this hotel for 2 nights by Rocky Mountaineer. The location is great: on the bus line (the hotel gave us passes) and walking distance to downtown and many restaurants. Also had a laundry in the basement. Had a lovely dinner in the Keg the night we arrived: service was great. The problem was we were placed in a very small lower level room # 114. There was very little room for our suitcases, etc. Rocky Mountaineer tells us they are not responsible for our room placement. The hotel told us they were 100% booked and could not change rooms. It was unusually warm during the time we were here. We had to request a fan, and did not feel safe leaving the window open while we slept. The safe was pretty much unusable because of its location right on the floor. The bathroom was okay, but very small. We had looked forward to our stay here but were very disappointed with the room. Rocky Mountaineer refers to it as a moderate room but we felt it was questionable at best, considering the amount we paid for this tour.
