This is our 4th tme staying at the Hotel and have found that the renovations to it have been very good. There is now a safe and fridge in room which was excellant as we did not have to keep going to the reception to access the safe deposit boxes. My only negative comment would be that the rooms remain alittle dark and so we had to have the light on. We completed the comment card and I have just heard back from them which was good to know that the comments you leave are read and not just put in the bin even if you tell the truth.
We love this hotel and they offer good service and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We like being out of the town and its only a short walk into town for all the other amenities. (Good for stretching out the legs after a hard days skiing. Having a safe heated underground car park is a bonus too. The Red Earth Spa is fantastic and the hot tub a MUST :-).
We look forward to going back next year.

My darling girlfriend treated me to a birthday stay in the Norquay corner suite at the Caribou Lodge on April 25th. The room was newly renovated and one of the nicest I've ever stayed. With two levels, two televisions, two bathrooms and a jacuzzi tub big enough for two, I was wildly impressed. Everything from the layout, decor and even the outline of a monster caribou in the smoked glass of the walk-in shower was top shelf. The living/seating area was downstairs with a half bath, gas fireplace and nice sized flat screen. Upstairs was the Master suite complete with walk-in shower, kingsized bed, another flat screen and best of all, that massive jacuzzi sitting right there next to the window (it even had fancy colored lights)...from the 4th floor, views of Mt Norquay were unobstructed .

***Best Birthday ever***

Room Tip: I definitely recommend one of the named suites!!

We have stayed at the Caribou many times over sixteen years and have always enjoyed ourselves. The nice thing about this time was we had booked into a king room but we received a call a couple of days prior informing us a hockey team was checking in for a weekend tournament. The call was a concern for about noise level for us. We were quite concerned about it but we were upgraded to a loft room for a small amount extra. I believe we have now spoilt ourselves and this is the only way to stay. Top notch renovations and so peaceful. We didn't have any noise problems at all. The Keg is one of our favourites and actually differs in taste to the other locations we've tried. A gentle 10 minute stroll will get you into town and also helps to digest all the lovely food. As our room had a double jetted tub we did not use the spa area. It would be nice to have pay per view movies but just take along a couple of DVD's if you desire. Thanks to Luke Norman at the front desk for doing a brilliant customer relation job and calling us ahead of time and making sure that our stay was perfect from beginning to end. We do stay in other hotels in Banff but I believe now we are smitten with our first love again.

The Caribou Lodge was a really nice clean and comfortable place to stay. The staff were very helpful and always around. What was good was the staff hung out at the keg bar when not working which we thought said alot about the hotel and the way they treat their staff. Our flight was delayed on our departure and the staff couldn't have been more accomodating in letting us stay in our room until we left and continue to use all the facilities. We had a great time in Banff skiing and would stay in this hotel again and reccommend it to our friends and family. The spa and whirlpool were fabulous after a day's skiing.

We have stayed at the hotel for many years.. once again this year was an awesome stay. They had recently renovated the rooms, and they certainly given the Caribou the facelift it deserves and looks like new. We have stayed in many different rooms at the Caribou, if you want to enjoy that extra special treat whilst on your vacation I would recommend one of there suites they are AMAZING, won't spoilt the surprise by going into detail about them but there attention to detail to make you feel like its home from home is spot on.

The Spa, hot tub area is always a big hit after a day on the slopes... Only downside was the fitness centre, some equipment was out of order the entire stay, however they offered to arrange transportation to sister hotel for full use of there facilities.

The Keg always offers great food, smaller menu than previous years but still has great options and the staff are fantastic and always on hand to help. The food is reasonable in price so if you don't want to venture into Banff you can enjoy great food and then have a few drinks in the bar which has a great atmosphere.

The Caribou also has a ski kiosk which saves you having to go into Banff to get lift tickets, as well as free use of the internet. The Caribou is a short walk from downtown Banff but if feeling lazy you have the option of a shuttle bus, its not frequent but the bus stop is vertically right outside the hotel.

I cannot fault this hotel.... and certainly would recommend this to anyone as you are guaranteed to have one of your best stays in Banff as I have stayed at many hotels in Banff every year since 1998 and the Caribou Lodge is certainly one of my favourites. So there you have it about the hotel, However I cannot forget to mention the staff they are fantastic, in particular George on reception he always goes the extra mile, very helpful and cannot do enough for you to make your time at the Caribou and Canada the best you would imagine it to be. He is the greatest asset to the Caribou Lodge without a doubt.

See you in January 2013 Caribou Lodge!!!!

I stayed at the Caribou whilst on a skiing trip and I really liked it. The staff are very friendly, the environment very pleasant and the rooms perfectly nice. My only comment about the room relates to the bed and that some weird cover they put over the comforter on the bed makes you boil even with heating off and window open. Oh, and having a spa on site is a real luxury - expensive but a luxury that was much needed to help eleviate pain from an injury that I'd aggravated skiing.

Having a kiosk on site where one can buy ski passes was perfect. I'd feared we'd have to walk into town to sort that out. It's a 10+ min walk into Banff which is very easy but the hotel provide complementary bus tickets if you're feeling lazy, although the buses are infrequent.

I'd definitely stay here again if I came back to Banff

We stayed overs 2 nights and enjoyed the Keg Steakhouse meals. Also enjoyed a professional massage. The room was perfect with the hot tub. Our stay in Banff was memorable. Thanks to the Caribou Lodge staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Must be more quieter as in the front, we hear the traffic.
