First time to Canada skiing, an amazing experience. What a great hotel, from staff friendliness, overall customer service, great from start to finish.

Check in service fantastic after a long flight. Effecient, friendly and informative.

Rooms excellent, as seen in the photos, beds are very comfortable. (rooms a little too warm, even with turning off heating and opening windows - but this could be personal preference.)

Food and service at the Keg is stunning - consistently great. Breakfasts are very good, maybe a little more variety/pricing options.

Spa - clean, warm, welcome place after long day skiing.

Hotel ski instruction - Tracy Gardner - fantastic instructor, very intuitive, looks after your needs very well, very good at bringing all levels up to their next stage. Goes over and above expectations in terms of customer service, and genuinely friendly approach. She made the experience of skiing enjoyable for us first timers.

Room service - spotless, effecient, unintrusive, honest, no security issues with anything going missing, excellent.

Ski Lockers - great addition for storage from hotel, easy to use, convenient.

Bus pass - free, welcome on very cold evenings, well used, buses always on time, excellent service overall.

Overall of hotel - great experience staying at Caribou, staff are really lovely and attentive, very well trained, nothing was too much trouble, very perceptive and interested, such a refreshing experience in terms of customer service. We will certainly return to this hotel, and resort. Amazing.

Just a few areas for improvement:

Door closers on bedrooms maybe need adjusting to close quieter instead of slamming.
Running machine in gym out of order for the time we were there.
Steam room out of order for 6 days out of 10.
Keg breakfasts - sometimes the full buffet gets a little tedious, maybe the option for a bacon sandwich, or more of a mix would be welcome (although food quality is great).

Thats it!

This was our first time skiing in Canada and how lucky we're we with our choice to come to Banff. From start to finish this has been one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were always on hand to assist. My husband and our friend wanted to go to watch a ice hockey match. We asked at reception and sure enough it was all organised even transport there and back. Also the complimentary bus pass was a lovely touch.
As I said before this was our first time but most definitely not the last we will return. Thank you all so much for a holiday to remember.

This was our first time to Banff, and certainly not the last. Staying at the Caribou Lodge and Spa definately made our holiday one to remember. After a long flight we arrived at the hotel to a wonderful welcoming open fire in the lobby (which in the 10 days didn't fill the hotel corridors with smoke!) and friendly staff at the reception. Check in was quick and easy, the rooms were clean and inviting, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had two rooms one for ourselves and one for our teenage children which were conveniently next to eachother. We were on the third floor which was very quiet. The spa is lovely and my husband and I enjoyed going there in the mornings before breakfast as it was empty, although it was never too busy after skiing in the afternoons either. The Caribou is only 10 minutes walk from town but if we felt lazy we took the roamer bus and used our complimentary bus pass that the Caribou provided. The ski shuttle stops right outside the hotel which is a real bonus and very easy to use. We must recommend the Keg restaurant, we had breakfast every morning which was lovely, and a few evening meals which were excellent. The staff were fabulous and having a restaurant attached to the hotel made things so much easier if you were tired and didn't want to go into town.

To sum up, we would definately stay at the Caribou Lodge and Spa again and are going to recommend it to friends who are going to Banff next year. Thank you to all the staff who made our holiday in Banff so special we loved staying with you.

Room Tip: Higher floors seem less busy

We spent 2 nights here in ski season, although we didn't ski due to a 10 month in tow. Lovely hotel and staff were fabulous. There was no problem with getting baby bottles sterilised and the rooms were lovely. The hot pool was nice though a touch warm for the little one.

Well this was our second visit here, stayed 13 nights this time and loved it just as much. Free wi-fi, free local bus pass and gorgeous spacious rooms. All your needs are catered for under the one roof. Ideal for visitors with cars and also provide ski lockers in underground car park so they are not lying about your room. They also don't mind if you snack or drink in your room although the keg is very good. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for value and service.

this was our first time to canada and and what a delight this hotel is, great choice for getting ski passes and the ski buses stop right outside the door, hotel also gave us passes for the towns buses (very handy). now the hotel its self, staff are superb, from all the areas, but the keg bar staff (dallas and mark s) are truely superb (keep a hold of these guys hotel owners). The bedrooms are of a good size , we were a trio and so had two double/ king size beds in the room, lovely small bathroom with nice shampoo/shower gel each day(nice touch), tea /coffee again real coffee machine and coffee supplied, fab!! the spa was good after a day on the slopes and finally the keg food is fantastic definately would like to go back, well done Caribou for making our holiday so gooooooood!!!!. thank you p.s i didnt take any photos of the hotel but what you see in the hotel pictures is what you get, no puting the best pics on show and giving you a different room, excellent, trust me this is a great hotel.
