We stayed for 4 nights in one of their Premier Delux rooms. The room was comfortable for our group. However the structure of the housing we stayed in was too cramped. There we 2 bedrooms in the lower floor, kitchen and family in the 2nd floor and a loft with 2 queen beds in the 3rd floor. The bathrooms were not as clean and we had trouble ensuring the doors were locked.

The convenience of full kitchen and washer/dryer was important to us as we had little kids. The service was also good, as we asked for extra fans and towels. The resort itself is designed with rooms too close and feels congested. I expected a little more luxury for the price of our rooms.

We're sorry your stay wasn't perfect. I recommend speaking with our reservations agents to ensure the space in our rooms is sufficient for your needs prior to traveling - consider two rooms adjacent to one another if you are concerned about space during a future stay. Thank you for your feedback.

We had a pleasant stay at Hidden Ridge Resort. I just came back from a road trip in the Canadian Rockies during the 4th of July weekend. Seven of us stayed in a Deluxe Bedroom Condo with 3 Queens and 1 sofa bed (with 3 brand new LCD TVs) for two nights. The only downside is that the condo has 1.5 bathroom and the wireless internet is a bit slow. The kitchen and living area are very good, making the room perfect for those traveling in a big group like us. We cooked breakfast in the morning, and mingled at night while looking at all the awesome pictures we took during the day. The staff are very friendly and international, and very helpful with suggesting the attractions in the area. The construction is almost done, and will add more new units to the resort. I'll come back here again in winter for my snowboarding trip.

Our property caters to all sizes of groups. I would recommend moving into one of our two bedroom with loft units next time which would add one more floor and a full bathroom rather than 1/2 bathroom. We look forward to seeing you in the winter!

My husband and I have traveled to Banff four times in the last 8 years. Three of the four times we stayed at the Hidden Ridge Resort. It is a charming resort up in the mountains of Banff. Although it is only 5 minutes from the town of Banff, it feels as if you are miles away. The staff is very helpful and the accommodations are first rate. They recently underwent a large remodel which added more units and modernized the place. We like it now and liked it before as well. I highlhy recommend staying here versus staying in a hotel downtown.

We stayed at this hotel through a promotional deal the hotel was offering. Our room was below ground next to the mechanical room. You could tell some updating had been done, but the room was not super clean. The walls and ceiling were paper thin and we could hear everything going on beside us and above us. Our friends stayed at the same location at the same time and had a fantastic half a duplex (paid regular price). The outdoor hotub was great and the view was amazing. They say construction starts at 9am, however the work starts earlier, the major power tools start at exactly 9am. The staff certainly weren't great. The young gentleman from Australia who checked us in we with thought was great. However, when we went to check out they had no record of my credit card that I had provided at check in. Very strange and the lady working the desk was not kind at all when I became concerned about what had been done with my credit card information.

We stayed here, my hubby and 2 'tweens on our first ski trip of the year. (I've been meaning to submit this forever!!) We checked out a few places online and the Banff Lodging Co. site did mention Hidden Ridge was undergoing some construction. But the rates we were getting were really good, they were early bird ski season prices. We booked a loft suite. The kids each had their own queen size bed in their room with a big flat screen plasma TV and we had the loft upstairs with a king. There was also a full kichen; fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. Everything about it was awesome. The suite also had a wood burning fireplace. It was very spacious. The bathroom tile floors had in floor heating which I always think is a nice touch.
There was construction, a lot of it, and we walked over to the Douglas Fir Resort to utilize their pool facilities. (The outdoor hot tub was undergoing renos as well.) The roadway was poorly lit, but the front desk offered to lend us a flashlight, which was nice of them.
There were 2 people at the front desk at any given time, but neither were particularily good at multi-tasking, so check in and check out was slow. They were friendly though and were accomodating in our requests and provided us with a restaurant guide and the delivery person had no problem tracking us down.
The suite, the decor, the cleanliness, and service; all was very good. We stayed at a lot of places over the ski season, and this made our favorites list. We'll definitely be back to check out the completed site renovations!
Tip: it's a bit of a walk into Banff, but taxi fare will get you where you're going for under 10$ and there is a free shuttle.

We're not thinking about skiing yet, but it's never far from our thoughts when you live in the Rocky Mountains. Complimentary passes for the Town of Banff Transit Service are standard with every booking: transportation is provided direct from the resort to all places in Banff Townsite on new hybrid buses every 40 minutes between 6am and 11pm. Convenient and environmentally sound, even if you just take it to the end of the road! More info on this award winning transit system? Check the Town of Banff website.

We stayed at this hotel so that we could be closer to Sunshine Ski Resort. When we arrived there, it was a disaster, everything was fenced off and under construction, there was no roads, just dirt paths. Our family, however always wanting to keep a positive outlook on things, just brushed it off, hoping to make the best of this trip.
When we checked in the young lady at the desk was not friendly at all, she was half checking us in and half texting her friend at the same time. She gave us the key to our room and rather vague instructions how to get around the construction.
After a few minutes of driving around the work, we found our room. It was a smokey (we asked for non-smoking), small, crampt, dirty thing in the midst of the construction. All we could her was yelling from the construction and machines moving around. We calmly went to the desk and asked if there was another room that we could move to, we even said that we'd pay. She was so rude to us and told us off, and said that we knew that there was construction, and it we didnt like it we shouldn't of come.
When walking back to the room, I stepped in a large staple and had to go get a tetnis shot. We thought the noise would stop at night, but it didn't. None of us slept a wink and we had to move hotels it was so bad.
We will never go back here, there are so many other nice hotels in the banff area that we would have rather visited.

Our recent renovation obviously will benefit everyone visiting the resort for years to come but we can only apologize to anyone who stayed and had less than an enjoyable stay during the process. We are now days away from planting the last of our trees and shrubs at the back of the property - it looks fantastic!

I am hopeful that all readers are browsing far enough into the reviews to see that guest service is something we do very well at Hidden Ridge Resort. While at the Resort, you can contact myself, Chris Thorburn, or our Front Office Manager, Pam Fleming, if any of your needs are not being met by what I would describe as a team of professional, courteous and caring front desk agents (I hear guest compliments from my office and read positive reviews from our guest comment cards every day). Please post your own review if you have a pleasant experience because of our staff!

I'd lokked on trip advisor about this hotel when we had booked it and some of the reviews seriously worried me. This hotel has had a major renovation and looks amazing only the landscaping needs to be done. We stayed in a room with a hot tub on the balcony and had views overlooking Banff and the mountains, totally amazing!!! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and a credit to the resort! The room was like living in a condo i only wish my house looked like that. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Great feedback - thank you. These rooms are quickly becoming one of our most popular - if you're interested in one, request a Jacuzzi King Suites when booking (they do cost a little more, though!).
