“very good service, location and mountain feeling”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

The condos are in a good location, 5 minutes from downtown but some how away from the tourist hoardes...During our stay, incidents like an overflowing toilet happended, but we were surprised by how prompt the problems were resolved. We liked the free fire wood plus the starting kits. The kitchen was kinda spartan, and overall the facilities probably deserve 4 stars... We upgrade it to 5 due to the excellent customer care.

Thank you for your review! I actually forwarded this review over to the staff so they could read it directly. I am happy our service response was quick. We endeavour to serve all of our guests in the most timely as possible manner! We also try our best to be as proactive with all of our room maintenance. Since all of our rooms have more than one flat screen TV, a full kitchen with dishwashers, ovens, refrigerators, toasters, kettles, coffee makers, dishes, plates, utensils, among other amenties, it sometimes proves more difficult than a standard hotel room you mind find somewhere else...but we try hard anyway.

Located some way out of the centre of Banff up Tunnel Mountain this was a great place to escape. It's great location for enjoying the mountain air and watching elks walk past our balcony. We shared a upper chalet between four adults easily although would have benefited from an additional sofa, saying that though it was our choice as we realised we didn't need the two chalets originally booked. We stayed for three nights, made use of the outdoor hot pools and cooking facilities and log burner in the accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. They do offer bus passes into Banff but we didn't use them as we were too busy exploring the area. Accommodation is clean, comfortable and a great escape location

Room Tip: Look for one of the upper chalets with view over the mountains and balcony

The greatest place to stay in Banff. These condos are very spacious and provide all the comforts of home. It makes for an easy and stress free vacation when you don't have to worry about all the little things. The fully equipped kitchen makes for convenient meal times.

The resort was a good 10 minute drive away from Banff town site, however, that should not be a deterrent in your choice of hotel as the setting was idyllic.
We stayed for 2 nights over a weekend and it was a really good experience.
The one bedroomed condo we stayed in was cozy and comfortable. There was a wood burning fireplace with plenty of dry logs available. The bed was comfy and warm.
Our condo was right next to the hot tub and while that was convenient it could get a little noisy at times. The hot tub did close at 10pm so there was no noise during sleeping hours.
The staff in the lobby were more than helpful and very courteous.
Our condo had a patio door which led straight out into the forest. The kids loved it!
The weekend was made only more special by the Northern Lights making an appearance. Spectacular!

Room Tip: Ask for a condo close but not next to the hot tub

Thank you for the review and we are glad Mother Nature helped us out with those Northern Lights-Mother Nature is not on our payroll but if we could pay her to throw on a display of aurora borealis for our guests, we probably would!

We stayed at Hidden Ridge for four nights in late May and were lucky enough to be able to get one of the rooms with a hot tub on the balcony. The staff were incredibly helpful and the property has a great heated pool area.
It is located on a hill overlooking the township. The self contained apartment style rooms are a welcome change from standard hotel fare and allowed us to spread out and cook for ourselves on a couple of nights. There is a laundry facility on site which was very useful and a very good free wifi facility.
We would most definitely stay again should return to Banff.

We accidentally ran into this hotel while goggling on the net.

We stayed there for a night because we were attracted by the infinity hot pool in the picture.

It was a very good stay. The facilities were wonderful. There is free hot beverages in the lobby. The pool was spectacular. The view is out of this world. My only regret was that I didn't think of enjoying the pool in the evening. We could have watch the sunset while soaking in the water. We also missed enjoying the lights and outdoor fireplace in the pool area.

It came with a full kitchen and fireplace. Firewood is provided. Just has to remember to bring material to help kick start the firewood. The bedroom has 2 large queen or full size bed with a full size pull out couch. The basic unit can easily sleep 6 people. The price is about $175.00 per night.

We will be back next year.

The resort is also very close to downtown Banff.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, choose the upper floor or loft. You can see the mountain view.

I stayed in the Hidden Ridge Resort in September of 2012. While the rooms aren't incredible lookers on the outside, the insides are beautiful and the view cannot be beat. Everything is very open with lots of windows and plenty of space. The view from the outdoor jacuzzi and pool is incredible; it looks down over the mountains and is absolutely breathtaking. All of the facilities are well cleaned and safe, but they do seem to have a problem with high chlorine levels. I would definitely recommend Hidden Ridge, it deserves to be the second highest rated hotel in Banff.

Room Tip: Go for a room overlooking the mountains rather than the walking trails.
