Didn't take long to get to the top and the views are something else!! If you have enough time the walk to the weather station.

So much fun and you can even take your dog on the gondola.

Beautiful views, friendly staff, great experience.

The wife and I both love the mountains and this was a great opportunity to really feel like you're in the Rockies. It appears to be "expensive" but how often do you get to see Banff and it's surrounding area from the top of a mountain? Many great photo opportunities, gift shops, cafe (Starbucks), pressed pennies (if you're a collector like me) and we only paid $70/pp when combined with the Columbia Glacier Tour. (a $15/pp savings) Next time we'll include the boat tour, too. ($100/pp for all 3)

If you're in decent shape- take a couple of hours and walk up. $16 to take the gondola down only. And you have the option to purchase a souvenir photo of your party in the gondola.
Forget how warm it is at the bottom- wear a winter jacket. It can be windy.
Nice that it's less than 2 hours from Calgary, too! We'll be bringing friends and relatives back here for sure.

the ride up the mountain is a prelude to the phenomenal views at the top. Once you get to the top, walk to the right on the boardwalk to the weather station. It is a moderate walk. The views are worth the little exertion it takes. Great views of Mt. Norquay with Banff nestled at her base. The line going down can be long if tour busses have deposited their loads. There are bathrooms at the top and at the base. Try and go as early in the morning as you can to beat the buses.

It's the 4th time we are here and it's overpriced for the ride, of course it's one of the only attractions so all the people that come to visit us need to go, but seriously every time we think its 80$ per couple.. And this time I jut needed to post it.
