One of the worlds best hotels, fantastic rooms, staff, food
Views to die for in a beautiful setting.
So much to see and do nearby.
Attention to detail in the hotel was first class, staff were so friendly and helpful

My partner and I were lucky to book and experience the wonderful snowshoe excursion through the Fairmont hotel. This trip offered so much! From spectacular views along our snowshoe, stargazing with detailed information and knowledge, delicious cocktails and s'mores around a campfire and most impressive, our guide Harry who was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and kind. It was truly a unique experience that is definitely a highlight of our trip. Big shout-out to Harry who made the experience magical. Cheers!

This iconic resort hotel wins based solely on location, but it the high standard of guest service that puts the Banff Springs above the pack. Whether attention to a room request prior to arrival, a quick text to check up on how things are going, an opportunity to respond and be responded to in French or English, or a call from senior management to discuss an area of concern in a proactive way, the guest services here stand out strongly. It is people who make a difference in the tourism and hospitality industry and the Banff Springs is very much aware and attentive to this. Well done!

Our first time visiting, and every dream and expectation was met!! All staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Check in was quick and professional, even upgraded to Fairmont Gold to take advantage of the extra services ( private concierge, food/cocktail lounge HIGHLY RECOMMEND) . Hotel history and pictorial wall was very intriguing. Shuttle service to town and/ or taxi Service was easy. Ski and boot storage AND shuttle to all 3 mountains was great. Restaurants all very good. Very nice to experience how ALL staff in every department were so well trained and friendly. And the SPA is not to be missed. Book well in advance to get your appointment as it is very popular!!

Stayed for 3 nights over Christmas to have an iconic white Christmas. It did not disappoint - the hotel and surroundings are stunningly beautiful and they had a good covering of snow. It is a true resort - there is no need to leave the hotel with plenty of activities for adults and kids. Mrs Claus was a lovely touch as was the gifts delivered on Christmas Eve. The only disappointment was the food. One night in the main restaurant (Vermillion) they had run out of chicken and apparently it happens frequently. The biggest disappointment was the Christmas night dinner. It was a massive buffet held in a large "barn like room". We paid quite a lot for the dinner and had high hopes but were disappointed. It is well worth the 10-15 minute walk into town to dine at any of the very good quality (and much cheaper) restaurants.As a local said to us - we paid the "Fairmont Tax". If you have never stayed at the Castle then do so, but dine in town
