We stayed for 4 nights over labor day weekend. Very clean room. Convenient to town with easy use of ROAM bus (free passes). Loved how it was a short ride away from the bustle of the main street, felt secluded. We had a one room suite with kitchen which had everything we needed. Loved using the fireplace in the evening.

Stayed at Tunnel Mountain Resort in early September for 6 nights. It is a great location with a Roam bus stop right in front of the hotel which takes you downtown Banff. We stayed in the suite with one queen and two twin beds and it was plenty of space for 2 people and had a small kitchenette. Staff was wonderful and the views were amazing. Would highly recommend!
Had a loft room with an extra bedroom. The living area was rather spacious and updated nicely. Complete with a mini-kitchen with most everything you need. If it wasn't in the room, they had it at the front desk. Nice location about 1-1/4 miles from downtown, so a very walkable distance. The Roam bus service is also excellent in Banff and there is a stop right in front of the hotel. On Roam, you can get to virtually anywhere you want to go in the Banff area and it goes all the way to Lake Louise.
Walk a mile on Tunnel Mountain Drive to the Tunnel Mountain Hiking Trail too! Great views of Banff and the surrounding area.
The pool is nice and they kept that area and the lobby very clean. We highly recommend the Tunnel Mountain Resort.
Stayed 3 nights here and we had a split level 2 bedroom apartment. Had a separate sink and toilet upstairs which helped but one bathroom for all. One of our kids slept on the sofabed which she found comfortable enough.
Staff at the front desk were outstanding and that was the best thing here.
The sauna was average but the steam room smelt of mould and damp. Shame as after a hike it would be good to be able to use these but was a waste here.
The roaming bus stops right outside the hotel and within 3 to 4 mins takes to Banff town centre.
Bus passes are provided free by the hotel.
This is not a typical hotel. You will be surprised at how well appointed the room is with two spacious bedrooms, a nice kitchen and very excellent location. The front desk agent was magnificent and so very helpful with tips, ideas and even free ROAM bus passes. I would recommend this place to anyone,
We stayed here in the last week of August, with two teenagers. We had one of the Mountain Cabins, which was perfect for our needs -- Queen bed with separate room, loft with two beds for the kids, small but functional kitchen, porch with view to wooded area, common area pool -- what more could you need?
Service was very helpful, any questions on issues and they helped out right away.
Yes, it would be a bit of a walk into the downtown area (we had a car, but there is a free bus service right outside), and yes, it was a bit pricey...but perfect for our needs.
