The place was dirty...there was cereal on the bed and some weird plastic pieces in the bathtub. I felt so gross sleeping there. I had tried to speak to front desk but they were constantly busy. Plus they advertise for a p but the pool is not even theirs...you have to go to another hotel! Talk about false advertising. I paid way too much for this hotel and it was not worth it. I would not recommend staying here.

Hotel is dated and very average. Super overpriced. We paid $800 ish for 3 nights which is crazy if it was anywhere else it would be $120 a night. It’s not worth that price point. The hotel is nothing special, super basic however front desk staff super nice and accommodating especially the German girl. It’s in a great location off the Main Streets so you don’t have to drive down them trust me that’s a huge bonus. Close to vermillion lakes and Fenland trails and walking distance to all shops and restaurants.
Rooms are small and noise travels in the hallways. Can hear people inside rooms when you’re in the hall also

Good: Great location - very short walk to Banff town with a great view next to Bow River. We got a river view room and the view was really nice with a small balcony and chair to enjoy and relax.

Bad: Room and facilities are very very dated - red carpet, furniture, room layout, etc. Toiletry provided has poor quality and not enough. Parking can be done at the building or additional garage space in a closeby building. Although it gets pretty busy but that's understandable being so close to the town. Wifi is upon request but free (I didn't use it). Staff/service was ok - she got the job done - but not enthusiastic to help or provide local recommendations.

Very rarely would I write a review like this but we had paid a lot of money for this room and it really didn't live up to expectations. The location is fabulous, close to the Bow River and the wonderful walkway. It's also really convienient for the town, as we visited both the Whyte museum and the Buffalo plains museum, plus walked into town for dinner and breakfast. The room was large and the bed really comfy (room number 10 or 12 on the ground floor to the right of the reception). But there wasn't enough hot water for a bath that night, the plug in the bath didn't work very well. The ganger that gave extra plugs didn't appear to be working, and I wasn't happy with the net type curtains as the only curtains as I thought they were see through and we butted onto a path. Also we couldn't open the door to the balcony, which might have been our fault but we weren't impressed. The hotel overall seemed fine which only added to our disappointment.

The beauty of the location is exceptional. The views awesome. The hotels should meet a certain standard. This one didn't. I was certain that the hotel experience was going to add to our stay. If we had gone for a budget hotel I wouldn't complain but we didn't.
