The panini sandwiches at this restaurant were amazing and the special of the day is especially a good deal for anyone looking to spend some time in Banff without spending a fortune. The atmosphere is nice and there is both outdoor and indoor seating. However, the lattes were not the best I've had. They were lukewarm and the flavor was not as good as one might expect. Go there for the sandwiches but maybe look elsewhere for specialty coffees.

though sometimes busy (and occasionally you get served by someone who obviously hates their job, but that's not bad because in the end it's a cafe so you aren't doomed for the rest of the night with a terrible server), this cafe is one of the real gems in banff. they serve local tea (banff tea co.!), have plenty of great vegan/organic options, good lunch menu with excellent soup, and they also bake their own bread. it sells very quickly but if you see a loaf of beer & rye, buy it! it's delicious! typically crowded during mid-day but if you can get an outdoor seat it's probably one of the nicest places to stop for a casual lunch. prices are typical for cafes, around $6- $8 for a panini, $3 for a healthy sweet, $2-4 for a drink.

It was such a treat to have so many gluten free options! Celiac disease really limits my options for desserts and baked goods at the vast majority of coffee shops and restaurants. It was SO exciting to order a brownie that tasted amazing!

This place looked delicious and I do wish we would have dined in for breakfast one day. However, we did pick up two bakery items. One scone which was very moist and one cookie which was very dry. Kind of opposite of what they should have been. I'm used to the dryer scones whereas this one was more like bread and I wasn't a huge fan of the taste. The cookie was the mexican chocolate one and it was really really dry. The flavor was ok, but was hard to get past the dryness. Oh well! Hopefully their hot breakfast items were better!

Attractive place. Good Coffee. Weak Hot Chocolate. Tasty breads and snacks. We stopped in for a mid-morning java and snack after a early morning hike. Glad we did. Nice little patio outside.
