“Great noodle house on the main street.”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

Small, intimate and usually crowded. However, for the price, you can't do better than the Chaya if you like Asian food. Judging by the number of diners from Asia when we were there, we have the right stuff. Will be happy to go back there anytime.

“Good service, small portions, strange-tasting food”
Reviewed February 26, 2014

Maybe I'm spoiled from my great experiences in Calgary with noodle soups, but for $12, I would like a few more than 4 noodles in my bowl! Not sure what the hype is about, since many of my coworkers love the soup here, but I just can't get beyond the sad portion sizes and strange-tasting pork bits. Could be a whole lot better for the price! Add some veggies and sprouts, and more noodles maybe. Seems like they're doing the bare minimum.

“Cheap , cheerful and delicious....”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

Generous, tasty bowls of Udon and other soups make for a filling and satisfying lunch .
This little caff delivers what it promises and the charges are reasonable . It is a tiny space with only 8 tables but we thought enough of it to return twice in a week .

“Great noodles at a great price”
Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

My husband I wanted something different from the usual Banff offering of ribs and burgers and came across this tiny place on Banff Av. The first time we went past the restaurant was full, which isn't that hard as there are only 8 tables, but on coming back round we found a space. We both ordered udon noodle soup, which came quickly and was a large serving. The veggies were fresh and the noodles cooked perfectly. We chatted to fellow diners, who were both locals and travellers and everyone agreed about the great food and great price.
It's small but perfect!

“Hardy Budget Asian Noodle Bowls”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

No atmosphere, Hole in the wall place with a few seats; but for hardy Fast food it is great. Their noodle bowls are good but not gourmet. On a cold winter day they will warm you up. This is not the place for a romantic evening, gourmet Asian food or high end dining. This is a place for good, fast and filling Asian noodle bowls.
