This was an awesome trail ride. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. You can hike to Agnes Teahouse by foot, but it's exhausting (3.5 kilometers, or 2 miles uphill; it takes about 2 hours to get to the top). The stable offers sleigh rides, trail rides, and overnight horse trips. They are available winter and summer. The stable is located a block from Lake Louise and across the street from the Fairmont Resort. We rode a few miles through a forest, passed a small beautiful lake, and arrived at the top where we found another beautiful lake, a waterfall, a teahouse, and a great view of the Fairmont Resort down below. Their website is very detailed, but of course the cost is according to Canadian currency rate. At this time, the American dollar is stronger than the Canadian dollar. Other than the canoe ride on Lake Louise, the horseback ride was very memorable.

this is a very friendly and professional business and very well run stable. our horses were chosen to suit our riding abilily (or lack there of). i rode ziggy and my husband rode big lou. when we woke in the morning it was cold and raining but we decided to go for our ride anyway and we're so glad we did. it was the last day of summer and as we approched lake louise we noticed light snow on the ground. we were given our mounts and started our half day ride. i had booked for us to ride to the lake agnes tea house. we started our ride and it started to snow!!!!! wonderful. we come from the tropic's of australia so neither of us had seen snow before and we were thrilled. because of the low cloud that day we didn't get much of a view but just to be able to ride on horse back through the snow is something we will never forget. at the tea house we had some hot chocolate to warm us up and then back to the horses for our ride back down. our guides were fantastic and we cannot recommend this company more highly. this was the highlight of our 3 and a half week trip through BC and AB
