Met friends there for a "pub lunch" and had excellent service and everything you would hope for from a good pub lunch. Price for 4, considering the quality of food and we all had two courses, was very reasonable. I was in the area for a week and, having rather a soft spot for pub lunches, this was our third and by far the best. The only reason it did not get a 5 rating was the somewhat tired nature of some aspects of the place. Ignore that and it's to be recommended most highly.

A really good value pub with food exceeding their prices! We went on a Friday night when they were really busy but the meals were tasty and the staff friendly. Highly recommend! Make sure you book though!

Visited here a few years ago and was not disappointed so decided to try it again on recommendation of a friend. Liver and bacon tower and Hare and Hounds Chicken breast were the mains we tried. Both choices nicely presented and good value for the portions served.
Ringwood and Timothy Taylors on tap so beer was excellent.
Friendly welcome and well worth a visit.

We went here with friends on Saturday as it was near where our friends were staying. We thought from the website it would be OK but nothing special. Well it was very good! Lovely waitresses. Excellent choice of food. Our food was all well cooked . We were glad we were up the quieter end of the pub but we are oldies!

We would return

Visited twice recently once for a drink and again for Sunday lunch. On both occasions the staff were friendly and welcoming. An excellent range of beers and wines, and a very varied menu. Everything that we had to eat was delicious and the portion sizes were ample, even sharing a single sized starter we had no room for dessert after the main course. Highly recommended that you book a table if you want to eat at the weekend. Lovely atmosphere in the pub on both occasions with a varied mix of people in the bar. Nice children's playground in the garden as well, children are made very welcome.
