“Gourmet cuisine in a rustic lodge in the woods!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

One of the best meals we've ever had! If you're looking for gourmet cuisine seasoned to perfection, stop here for dinner! Yes it is pricey, but it is worth it! If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion this is one of the best places to go. I had the Ranchland Chicken and my husband had the elk - both meals were exquisite and oh-so-tasty! We will definitely come back!

“Charming lodge with superb food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

One of the best meals we had during our trip through the Canadian Rockies, if not the best. My wife and I both had the beef tenderloin and it was the best, most well cooked tenderloin we've ever had. The service is comfortably laid back and very charming. A quaint lodge with nice lodge décor and a roaring fire to warm up next to. An amazing place that we can't wait to go back to the next time we are in the area.

“Amazing gourmet food in Modest lodge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

Ate here 2 nights, and 3 breakfasts on our trip to Kootenay National Park. all the meals were fantastic, most were clearly made by a very skilled chef(s). MAKE reservations or be disappointed! The service was pretty great too.

“Another great find in the wilderness.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

I cannot get over the number of fine restaurants we find out in the most remote areas! Storm Mountain Lodge will rank at the top for us. We loved the rustic lobby and the relaxed atmosphere. Each of us had delicious and attractive entrée and the service was prompt. It takes time to prepare good food but we were entertained by the hummingbirds while we waited. Well worth the short trip off the Trans-Canada highway to this superb restaurant.

“Best Meal on Trip to Banff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013

This place is so charming and food was superb! My husband had their special - bison ribs with a maple glaze, and I enjoyed fresh trout with amazing risotto and cooked fresh vegetables. Staff were very professional and friendly, loved the low-key, intimate feel, the lodge decor and gorgeous views out the window. I would highly recommend this place to anyone to eat - as others have said, worth the drive from Banff and be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!
