Owner description: Sunshine Village sits high on the Continental Divide in the heart of Banff National Park, and is just minutes from the mountain town of Banff. Three sprawling mountains provide breathtaking sitelines, uninterrupted by any signs of civilization beyond the resort's leasehold. Ski or ride in Alberta and British Columbia in one run. Sunshine Village's seven-month season stretches from early November until late May - the longest non-glacial season in Canada. The Village's altitude of 7,082 feet ensures the snow stays dry. Sunshine can receive up to nine metres (30 feet) of snow in a season, and it stays all year.

Great Mix of Levels, awesome staff, fast lifts. Spent most of the day on Goats Eye. Great day of Skiing. Costco has deals on lift tickets.

One of my favorite locations, definitely need a week minimum here to explore! Make your way up via a gondola and past one ski mountain up to the main base. So secluded yet so many restaurants and even a hotel. A must do when around this part of the world in ski time!

When my friends and I went to Sunshine, the conditions could not have been better. It was a nice sunny day and not that cold. Fresh snow fell two nights before and the runs were still in great shape. It was easy to find some powder to ski in. Also, there did not appear to be any ice on the runs. Due to the shorter runs (when compared with Lake Louise), your muscles do not get tired as quick, so it is easy to spend the entire day on the hill.

Our 3 boys attended ski school Jan 25-27, 2013. It was excellent. The boys were very happy with the instruction and experience. The report cards were a fun way to review the day. The boys tried skiing and snowboarding. The class sizes were small.

Our boys all play hockey but have little skiing/boarding experience. They are 11 almost 12. We started them at green, level 3. 2 progressed to blue and black. I thought they were well supervised, developed skills, and had a great time! High quality rentals. Lunches were only ok but they can be fussy.

I highly recommend it. The boys liked the moguls (roller coaster) and view/run down Angel Express. And instructors, sweet! :)

Spent two days here, and each day we left feeling exhilarated. If you are an intermediate skiier or better, go to the top of both Lookout and Goat's Eye. The view from Lookout is spectacular to say the least, and the top section offers up blue or black diamond runs that are thrilling. Goat's Eye offers up a variety of options from the top (amazing views included) from extreme advanced to intermediate, with lower runs that keep the blood pumping. And at the end of the day, you can enjoy a 10-minute cruise as you ski out to the parking lot.

The Trapper Saloon is a good lunch option with hearty fare and reasonable (for ski resorts) prices.
