Be carefull when booking as they want one night as a deposit. When you get there they charge you for however many nights you stay and keep your deposit. They tell you the camp site number your supposed to stay and couple hours someone else comes looking for the same camping spot. Its cleam and they keep it clean. The washrooms arent to bad either.

We drove in just as EM Te Town was opening up for the day. Our entrance fee was 7.00 each and gave us free access to wander along the wooden sidewalks peering into each of the themed buildings. General store, a bank, the sherriffs office with jail, blacksmith shop, school house, cafe and saloon as well as a couple shacks and a house rounded out most of the old town. Each building is well stocked with antique tools, equipment and novelties that brought to mind some of the equipment my grand parents used on their homesteads.
There is room for camping with your holiday units, cabins for rent as well as a small motel. This would be a great place to hold a family reunion or theme wedding. We would like to spend more time here. This was more of a scouting trip than visit. We will go back with more family one day.

If you like things rustic and enjoy camping, this is the place for you. Some of our group camped, while others stayed in the motel. Motel is not fancy, but it was clean and a much better alternative to staying in a tent. Lots of children in our group between the ages of 4 and 12. They played 'school' in the old school house for hours or rode their bikes around the campground. Large fields for playing baseball, bocce, etc. Sat in the river (as the kids swam around us) in the afternoon to cool off. Highly recommend for families and groups. Would also make a great location for weddings. Tried to book here last year, but had lots of problems making contact with resort, and none of my phone messages were returned. This year, no problems at all. Management was very visible and very friendly and helpful.

spent two nights in room 7 of the hotel/motel. It was very quaint here. The room was cozy with 2 twin beds,tv,bathroom with shower, eating table and coffee maker. Enjoyed our room very much. The town is very interesting and fun to check things out. W totally enjoyed the comfort of the saloon. To us this part was a gem. The food here was amazing. We had two meals of pub food and theyvwere great. The pizza was outstanding. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Things were very quiet, even on a Friday night which made sleeping so easy. You are not pampered here nor do you have all the comforts of home,so dont expect soft luxury. Expect a different type of holiday and enjoy this location. We shall return.

Stayed in Em-Te Town in July and it was a wonderful little spot just to get away. It is a neat place that has a western theme. You can tour through the old buildings and it also has a saloon and restaurant. The property is huge and there is plenty to do whether you want to go for a walk, bike ride, or dip your toes in the little creek that runs through the property. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is a beautiful, tranquil little spot, if you want to escape for a weekend. The motel rooms were quaint and clean. You can camp on the site or stay in cabins, as well. The staff were friendly and the service was exceptional.
