We stayed for 4nights in July with our 2 boys aged 5months and 2yrs. The weather was terrible but it didn't matter!

Our tent-cabin was such a lovely space to be, with the log fire burning, lanterns lit and a lovely meal cooked in the stove. During the day we opened up the front of the tent to let in the sun (on its brief appearances). The place is so peaceful and we loved living without technology for a few days but with the extra luxuries like a flushing toilet and running water to make the experience fun and not a struggle (as normal camping can be if the weather is bad!)

Our little boy loved running about in the field in his wellies, playing on the tree swings, feeding the animals and collecting freshly laid eggs for breakfast. We hardly felt the need to leave the campsite but did make a few trips to the beach (just a 15minute drive away) and the village of Bradworthy, a 20minute walk away.

We have stayed at similar places on previous holidays but this place is our favourite and we would definitely return!

It's safe to say my family aren't the most 'outdoorsy' and we were somewhat dubious about our first encounter with the great outdoors, however 3 nights at Berridon have made us fall in love with camping (albeit the luxury way).
We were greated with such a warm welcome by Jenny and Dave (who run Berridon) and their 3 adorable children who took my stepson into the bosom of their family throughout our stay. Accomodation was spotless (even by my OCD standards), oozing with rustic charm and with little luxuries I didn't expect to have to hand whilst camping. Jenny's cooking gave Jamie Oliver a run for his money and I felt thoroughly spoilt by the time we reluctantly left on Sunday evening. We've already booked our return trip to Berridon Farm in a couple of weeks and am counting off the days. A huge thank you to all at Berridon for making our weekend so truly special...couldn't recommend highly enough. Lucy

Berridon farm was once part of feather down and this year they have gone it alone and we have to say they have knocked it off brilliantly!
We stayed at berridon farm for a long and very wet weekend. Despite the constant down pour we still enjoyed our stay.
Our arrival was later than anticipated and despite this we were greeted with the smiling faces of Jenny and David. Our adventure began with a quad bike pulling our belongings in a trailer over a sheep filled field to our tent.
The tent was just fab with a roaring fire, comfy sofa, big heavy duvets and extremely comfy extra deep mattresses. The kettle was already on when we arrived and it was my birthday so we had an extra treat of some fizz in the fridge - thank you Jenny and David!
No tv, no radio, no Internet and mostly no mobile signal was just bliss........Just lots of open space, sheep, goats, chickens and trees to climb.
We treated ourselves to breakfast in the barn and it was heaven with top quality food eaten on benches with a roaring fire and chandeliers covered in cobwebs. We loitered here thumbing magazines and gladly accepting lovely coffee refills.
For a truely laid back break this place is perfect. Jenny and David were so welcoming it felt like we were visiting old friends. Our girls have already asked when we can go back to berridon farm!

We were booked for 4 nights at the Featherdown farm at Berridon Farm in Bradworthy but sadly we only managed 2 because of the torrential rain that we experienced. We went as a group of 6, 4 adults and 2 kids...and I would like to say that the kids really loved their time here. The huts/tents are great, the wood burning stove and the relative luxury the beds provide is a bonus. The field where the five huts/tents are located has sheep, goats, pigs and chickens which the kids enjoyed. The showers were good, if a bit of a trek in the rain and the farm shop was well stocked.
Sadly, the weather spoilt the trip for the adults - their is only so much scrabble you can play! I am sure though that if you were fortunate enough to get a dry, sunny week, this is a holiday that most families would enjoy. I fear however that we may be a bit spoilt by previous places that we have stayed and that 'glamping' just wasn't quite for us.

We stayed at this camping farm for a long weekend and had a joyous time. Children were in happy heaven running around the fields and the tents have two bedrooms, a loo, running water and, heaven, a stove which we kept roaring all day.

A five minute walk to the showers which were clean and hot. A really excellent way for the children to experience camping without us all suffering by sleeping on the floor! I am not a rough it kind of person. We are going back in MAY!
