Visited this place in december for b day meal. At the outset the place looks nice.we choose our meals off the small menu. After about 2mins the waitress came back to tell us we couldn't have the dish 3 of us wanted( maybe we could have been told at the point of ordering?!?). The food arrived,3 meals out of the 4. Mine arrived just after...pork belly consisting of 2 raw new potato's,burnt bacon and burnt black pudding. At this point we asked if the veg was on the way to be told this was not included in the price!! (£15) i returned the meal to be told by the waiter this is normal! Burnt?!? Realy? The chef didnt show his/her face. They didnt offer to re-cook.i didnt eat.very unhappy!

Been for steak night on a wed night for two weeks in a row now! Great value for money - you get 2 rump steaks, sides and a bottle of wine for £25!
The steak is amazing quality, however both times I it has not been cooked the way I asked - slightly over. Not enough for me to send back as the quality was amazing. Dauphionoise potatoes are to die for!
Service is slow and uninviting, but the food makes up for it, just.
Would recommend for a good value mid-week meal for couples.

Visited on Wednesday 'steak night' on the occasion of a significant birthday and we were not let down.
Thoroughly enjoyed the £25 steak meal for 2 with a bottle of wine (good value) and we were very impressed by the quality of the food served. Fantastic tasty meat, (melted in the mouth), tomato & mushroom with 'proper' chips. The diane sauce was delicious and Merlot wine that we chose was very good too.
The serving and bar staff were all attentive and chatty without being overly so. Just right and an asset to the restaurant. We could see that they were being the same with the other diners too.
Overall, a great place to have a good meal in pleasant and friendly surroundings. We shall return!

We visited the Manor House Friday just gone. We went on a family birthday celebration 6 of us. I never new this restaurant was located so close to us. Its a great place, the atmosphere and decor is lovely and they have kept the oldie worldie feel with modern features just beautiful. The food is definately fresh and tasty, the Lamb is to die for, the taste and flavours just hit the spot fantastically. My husband had the chicken and said that this was also beautiful and very tasty. You can tell straight away that the food is fresh.
This is restaurant definately takes pride with its customers and the waitresses and the Manager was brilliant very friendly, chatted to us and they even wiped the table after each course - which is something you do not get any more.
All we can say is a brilliant little find and we will back to enjoy the atmosphere food and the welcoming staff shortly.
Thank you again.
