Description: We’re committed to using fresh, locally sourced seafood - when available we serve fish straight from the very shoreline you’ll be eating on. We offer a wide selection of cakes, biscuits and take away treats. All homemade by Melanie and her team at the Hive Beach Micro Bakery based in Burton Bradstock. We’re happy to accommodate large parties of diners and we’re dog friendly but we don’t take reservations so it’s advisable to arrive a little early for lunch as we do get busy! Please check our website for up to date opening hours because we do open for dinner during the spring and summer season. Whilst we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in our restaurants, we cannot guarantee that any of our dishes are free from allergens and therefore cannot accept any liability in this respect. We urge customers with any form of allergies to assess their own level of risk and consume dishes at their own risk. Please ask to speak to the chef on duty if you are in need of any assistance in this regard

We have been going for breakfast here for the last five years, mainly on a sunday with friends and love the setting. It does get very busy during the holiday season but you can book a table for breakfast time although not for lunch or dinner. The queueing system can be a bit tiresome but the orders come out really quickly once placed.

The menu is about five main dishes plus breakfast rolls - bacon, sausage etc and my only real criticism is that it doesn't change regularly so can become a bit boring. That said, they have just included a great scallop & bacon dish which we both had on our last visit.

It is a little expensive for what it is - £9 plus for mains - but is a nice treat. The staff are friendly and helpful. Try it on a really hot day & go for a seat outside to really get the best from your visit.

This is a beach cafe that is open all year round. Today was a cold easterly windy day in February, so was really nice to be able to go into this cafe and be met with a warm friendly welcome from the staff and wall heaters all over the restaurant. So even though you are right on the beach it is really cosy. The food was good home cooked food which was plentiful and delicious, all be it a little on the expensive side. Also it appeared tobe a dog friendly place as well. Would differently go back.

You can take your animals in for a cuppa and piece of cake. If you fancy breakfast it starts at 10am and is very good and fresh. Good choice of lunches as well from snacks to fresh fish and chips. I have been there on a couple of occasions and have never been disappointed

Our first visit today and Popped in for brunch. Scallops, black pudding, bacon, poached egg and rocket for me. Scallops were perfectly cooked as was the rest. Kids breakfasts x3 were highly rated and mrs had the full farmhouse. All first class.

Lunchtime menu looked fab, could have stayed all day. Fish on display was fresh as a daisy too. 5 of us ate for just under £30, a bit pricey maybe but well worth it for the quality. We'll be back.
