We're so pleased you had a lovely stay at cottage and enjoyed beautiful Beauworth. We'll 'size up' your idea of having 2 single beds or a sofa bed in one of the bedrooms. Thank you for being such perfect guests.

“Weekend away”
Reviewed February 4, 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Lovely character cottage that is well equipped. The bonus for us was that it was a two minute drive to Beauworth where we were attending a family event. Instructions from Miles and Caroline on how to find the cottage were clear and we had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend there

Thank you for your review. Very kind of you and much appreciated. It was lovely having you and your guests to stay. I'm sorry the weather was so cold for your family event in the village hall.

The cycle sanctuary is high on the hill with fantastic views from the garden swing in the back garden. We had a totally relaxing week coupled with good cycling.
The log fire made the evenings extra special after a meal at the pub 100 yards up the road.
Did we enjoy our stay? You bet we did.

“A home away from home”
Reviewed June 2, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Loved everything about this cottage particularly the homely feeling when you walk in the door. It's clean, well equipped and the views and walks near are breathtaking. Can't wait to return! Thank you Miles!

Thank you Louise, very kind of you to leave such a lovely review. We are just back from a 12 miles walk/pub crawl ourselves, stopping at the The Flower Pots at Cheriton, The Fox at Bramdean and finally The Milburys at Beauworth. Knackered now :-) Have a great summer and The Cottage will be here for you next year. Miles & Caroline too :-)

“Peace and tranquility in the beautiful Hampshire countryside”
Reviewed May 23, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

A simply wonderful cottage. Thank you Miles and Caroline, we had a superb stay here in the lovely Hampshire countryside for four days. We managed two wonderful circular walks, one to Cheriton and the other to Exton with a lunch stop at The Shoe Pub, delicious! The walk back up over Beacon Hill was amazing. The cottage itself was cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped. The weather was kind to us and we even managed to eat in the garden with such stunning views. We were so relaxed by the end of our stay that we really didn't want to leave - we'd love to come back! A perfect country retreat.

Thank you so much for your review. It lovely for us to know our guests enjoyed themselves and so useful for others thinking about staying at the cottage. We are so lucky to have such lovely walks along Wayfarers Walk or the South Downs Way and other walking paths, to such lovely pubs. Like you, The Shoe is one of our favourites. Lovely inside or outside by the crystal clear river Meon and such delicious food. Did you see they even sell their own delicious homemade bread. A pub with a bakery! The cottage has been there for 200 years, so will still be there when you come back. Thank you for being such lovely guests.

“Wonderful break”
Reviewed April 17, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We couldn't have found a better place to escape the city over the Easter break. What a beautiful and quirky house in the midst of a wonderful setting with plenty of walks. Also helps that the pub is just down the road.

We would love to return.

Supermum, Superbaby and Superfamily :-) The wind was a bit cold but the sun shone and the Easter lambs, so lovely, were bleating in field. Great to know you had a lovely city break in beautiful Beauworth. How was the Milburys? We love Martin the Landlord, but he loves being known for being grumpy. With the South Downs Way 100 meters up the road and the WayFarers Walk another 100 meters further on, the walking really is tremendous and all with such fabulous views. Please come again, such lovely considerate guests.

“Cycle Heaven awaits you, in this charming cottage”
Reviewed June 29, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

I booked this cottage on the weekend of my daughter's wedding in April. The weekend turned out to be one of the most special times possible and this delightful cottage helped in so many ways.
For those that know me, you'll know that cycling plays a very important part of my life and it is clear from the moment you open the front door, that the owner of Cycle Sanctuary shares the same passion and has expressed this in the decor in a charming and stimulating way.
The wedding went beautifully, the weather obliged with sunshine and the bride & groom on my vintage tandem rode from church to the reception with a peloton of wonderfully attired wedding guests. It was just the best of days.
We stayed on after the wedding at the cottage as quite simply it is difficult to leave. I'll keep this review short, but suffice to say, I hope to return time and time again.
Before I finish I'd like to add that I met the owner by chance and it is clear why the cottage is so charming. Congratulations to you Miles, your cottage is a most welcoming home.

A lovely review. Thank you. Very much appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back and seeing a few more of your fantastic vintage bicycles. Please bring the Penny Farthing next time. I've seen pictures of you riding it and the pair of you look amazing.
