We were delighted with this stylish, clean superbly dressed rental within the old city walls of this small bastide village . The photo of the sunny balcony and cool courtyard garden don't do it justice.
Lovely bedroom and ensuite bathroom comfortable clean large light lounge new sofas and throw mixed with charming antiques but with said sunny 20ft balcony. Efficient kitchen, just what gites should be but often are not. The attention to dressing the rooms with a selection of books, fan,s paintings and more made it very sweet.
Issigeac an excellent choice as mostly pedestrianised with 3 boulangeries a few bars and restaurants and brocants and galleries. Enough to keep you interested without overwhelming .
Would highly recommend the restauran tl' Abbeye in Cadouin for it's 16.50 euro lunch. Go early as foos so good you wont get a table otherwise. Workmen locals and visitors all go as such great old fashioned french food, think garlic soup, crudites duck confit and truly historic illes flottante ,
