After running gites just 2km outside of issigeac at Gageolle, for 6 years now ,we hear all the stories from our guests about their favorite eating places and La Bruceliere is the best in the area.
Everytime we eat there its always perfect with affordable prices!
Bonne Appetit

Based in Issigeac this is a good though somewhat small restaurant. We enjoyed the meal though all in the group felt that the main course was a bit lacking.

Very gracious hosts, but the menu was more enchanting than the actual delivery of the food which was heavy. Added to this, one of our party became ill after eating the oyster/salmon tartar. The menu is changed each month. We would probably look for other options.

After living in the region for over eight years, and enjoying the cusine far far to much, and having eaten in starred restaurants at hundreds of euro through to tiny bars and cafes,La Bruceliere,is without a doubt the best, delightful surroundings, charming owners and staff, and three courses of superb food with amuse bouches for the equivlent of twenty pounds!!!! last week on a cold november night my wife and i started with a tatare of oysters and salmon frais, and a pheasant terrine loverly! followed by a perfectly cooked lamb,my wife declined the bradinade(the fish choice that night)pas de probleme,an alternative fish course was conjured up by the helpful chef, the cheeseboard is a delight and i am slowly working my way through the cheeses of France, with their assistance, the wine list is good but i must confess to rarely have other than the truly excellent house wine,I can sum up only by reiterating the title of my review "Simply the best"

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. They have the formula just right. The food is superb and the service excellent. It most certainly is the best restaurant in the area. Well done and long may you be there for us to enjoy.
