“Preah Ko - Sacred Bull Temple”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

Built in 879, Preah Ko is one of the oldest temples in Siem Reap. It is fairly small but very lovely, and its ancient stonework is especially intriguing. Of the three temples in the Roluos Group I enjoyed Preah Ko the most.

While the Roluos Group temples are somewhat off the beaten path, it is absolutely worth it to make a visit there.

“Beautiful brick temple”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

A very nice brick temple, one of the oldest, built in 9th century, and dedicated to Shiva.
It belongs to the Roluos group and is a good start for the stone-holic wishing to extend the visit to the Angkor Wat area. Beautiful plasterwork, but not too much time to spend here though.

“Must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

When you are visiting Angkor, you better visit Preah Koh temple. Why?
because it is the earlier temple than other temples in Angkor. The temple built from bricks ( just remember: Brick temples always built earlier than Sandstone temple).
You will see beautiful brick carvings, especially the best stucco carvings still remains....it is already over 1000 years, this stucco should comes off from the wall. You will know about the different styles of Arts.

“Small but interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

We visited this temple as part of the Outlying Adventure Tour with Beyond Unique Escapes, this was one of six temples we saw on this trip. This was the first temple to be built in the Roluos area in 879 by the Khmer King Indravarman I. Interesting to walk around and had photo taken with cow statue at the front of the temple complex. Not a huge sight but well worth a visit.
