We just recently finished a 4 day loop of Ha Giang with QT Motorbikes and cannot recommend this company more highly to people.
We are so glad that we decided to go with QT over a package tour organised from Hanoi. QT's experienced and professional team know the area intimately and provide fantastic support - responding promptly to queries and recommending different options that were catered towards our budget, interests and the time we had available to do the loop.
In short, they made planning one the best trips we have done in our 6 months of travels throughout South East Asia, effortless. They even helped us with our onward travels by organising bus tickets to Sapa and let us borrow a bike to go into the main part of town.
In terms of the trip itself, the bikes are all well maintained and serviced. We were also provided with protective gear, gloves and raincoats. We hired a guide, which I would strongly recommend to get the most out of your trip. Our guide, Hieu, was amazing! Honestly I don't think we would have enjoyed the trip half as much if it were not for him. He is everything you could want in a guide. He knew what part of the roads were damaged and to be avoided, shortcuts to take, the best spots to pull over for photos or to eat, and places to visit that were off the beaten track and would have been difficult to find. To top it was a great photographer and allowed us to better interact with locals and our homestay hosts.
