My wife and I ate here while we were in Barriles on a vacation, staying at Martin Vordugos fishing resort. This is a great place to go on a fishing vacation. If you do go fishing,, be sure to take some of your fish to Campestres and let them prepare it for you, you will not be disappointed. The margaritas were great also...

Our party ate once at Campestre Triny once during our week in Los Barriles, and were not disappointed. They've got a rather large and rustic seating area under a roof with open-air to the main drag in Los Barriles. Tables and chairs are simple, with a sand "floor." We enjoyed a wide variety of items off their extensive menu which features authentic Mexican fare as well as some dishes to appeal to the large number of non-locals who enjoy this eatery. We all enjoyed our meals as well as the margaritas served here. While there are a good number of restaurants in Los Barriles, we would recommend Campestre Triny for a visit.

We (two Canadian couples) ate at Campestre "Triny" twice - once to try it and again because it was so good. The facility is open air, rustic tables and charis, with a sand floor - authentic Mexican it seemed. The staff varied in their grasp of English - some were very good, others had some difficulty - and we had limited Spanish. But it all worked - they were most accomodating and very friendly.
Each time there we had a grilled fish dish - it was outstanding. The servings are large and we could share a main dish. They make their own chips for chips and salsa - and they are so good we bought some to bring home. We had blended margaritas and they were excellent. This is a popular spot and became very busy as the evening dinner went on.
We would definitely go back and highly recommend this restaurant.

We have been to Los Barriles three different times now, and this is the first restaurant we go to every time (and we eat there several times!). We just love the way they cook the fresh fish, and they are very nice people. We found out in a previous visit that in their culture, it is rude to bring the check to the table unless it is asked for. They want you to feel comfortable staying as long as you want. So we just walk up to the counter when we are done, and pay the check right there. (They may prefer that you ask for the check; I don't know) We aren't drinkers, so I can't comment on the 'drinks,' but the food is always terrific...and they take American Express! ;)

We read all of the reviews and were excited to try this restaurant. The food was 4 stars out of 5. The service was terrible. We were barely acknowledged and had to flag someone every time we needed anything. There were many inebriated gringos and I think the staff is tired of dealing with them. We were very quiet and respectful yet did not receive equal respect. We will not go back.
