This little gem is hidden behind the main street, ,but right infront of the Nuevo Marina, next to Dolphin adventure and behind Portobello and 8 Tostadas. It's within easy walk from back door of Grand Mayan, and if you are in Paradise Village area.. take the trolley, or bus and ask to stop by Dolphin Adventure / portobello. This is a great little breakfast place ( closed at 3p) owned by an artist in a Hacienda style building and he has the breakfast restaurant in the patio in front of his studio and his dinning home. Very charming and hospitable and wonderful, very reasonably price food ( $5 to $7 for breakfast). They close in the summer months,, but just open up last week ( 10/1) . You just may walk out with full stomach and some art work. Owner is originally from Mexico city and does oil paintings, large and small. This is a very nice departure from typical restaurants and commercial hotel services.
