Small and quiet with excelent, friendly staff! Food was very good with quality choises at every meal. KILLER margeritas and a nice array of fancy coctails. We were all inclusive, but most guests were time share. It really cut down on drunkeness as drinks are quite expensive. Very quiet at night, bar almost empty. Rooms were good. Beach is great. We will return!!

My wife and I and another couple stayed here at the end of November. We enjoyed the experience. We've been "down south" nine times now and consider ourselves value travellers. We generally book well in advance for low dollar cost vacations. This trip from Edmonton cost us $824 each. This was our fourth trip to Puerto Vallarta and our first time to Ocean Breeze. We're not picky. We like things to be clean, the food to be tasty, and the weather to be hot and sunny (of course no one, on earth, controls the last one!).

We experienced friendly staff, helpful concierge, clean rooms, good food, and a good beach.

-The staff were great.
-The rooms were very clean and spacious. But, the room service was rather inconsistent - our friends room was not cleaned one day and they had to request it be done at supper time. We got some towel sculptures (swans, hearts...) all days but one (a nice touch though not an expectation on our part) our friends only got that one day. There's no balcony, which we would have appreciated. And we only got double beds, the king size bed was an upgrade and we were not prepared to spend another $150 for the week for that.
-The food is standard fare for 3-4 star Mexican resorts. Lots of fresh fruit and cereals and hot Mexican dishes for breakfast. There was enough variety for us for a week's stay. They only have one restaurant but can eat outside or inside. Lunch and dinner can be ordered from a menu instead of eating from the buffet. We got mixed messages...we were told by the senior waiter that ordering from the menu was an extra charge when in fact others confirmed it was not. Lunch was off a menu and quite good (try the burger - it's huge! and tasty!)
-The lobby has lots of couches and chairs to have conversations with others at.
-The beach is spacious. Shade is provided by palapas, I prefer the mixed shade provided by palms but they didn't have any trees on the beach. There were very few beach vendors coming by this resort.
-There is no gym nor hot tub.
-The pool is open from 8 - 8 and is family friendly. There is a swim up bar.
-There are no evening "shows" but there are 3 young people offering activities by the pool each day.
-There are no kayaks, boogie board etc. to use out on the ocean.
-It's a small resort and that made finding our friends and meeting up very easy and stress free.

My biggest complaint to the management is the lack of quieter spaces to find at their resort. Imagine walking in to the lobby and seeing this nice, two story waterfall. It makes a lot of white noise but that is part of having a waterfall. Then I hear Enya being played - loud - they have a very good sound system. Enya's Watermark album is a good one but can you imagine it being played from 9 am to 9 pm 365 days a year?!!! And, at 9 am, when one is trying to sleep in, Enya kicks in, loud and clear into your room because your room's door is off the lobby! I guess management wants us up at a certain time and don't have any other license than to play Enya.

There are other small water features around the resort and a big fountain in the pool that create more white noise. The restaurant had a good selection of background music but played too loud both inside and outside the restaurant. The animation team have to announce their activities, loudly of course, and then play, at times, both good and bad (imo) selections of music played much more loudly than necessary.

Turn it down! Give me some space to enjoy some peace and quiet.

I won't consider Ocean Breeze again unless I hear they've done something about the music/noise.

I read the reviews of this hotel on Trip Advisor and decided I might like to give it a try. I called and booked two nights in January. I guaranteed the reservation with a credit card, was satisfied with my price and everything was great. So great, in fact, I decided to stay another night. Well, I tried to call the hotel directly and also their USA toll free number for 3 days to no avail. In desperation, I finally went to their web-site and hit the modify/cancel button and entered the confirmation number they e-mailed me. The message? "Please enter a valid confirmation number." I couldn't book just one more night on their website because they have a minimum of two nights. Seriously. If it's this hard to give them my money, what will happen when I get there? I've got Visa on the phone right now cancelling the whole damn thing. I don't have the emotional fortutide to invest 3 days+ in making a reservation......

Dear Ms Mary, we are deeply sorry that you have this inconvenience on your reservation with us, we have major problems with all our lines last days because of the Hurrican Jova, this is the reason why we couldn't offer you the assistance that you deserve as a future guest, in our records it show that your first reservation was made trough the telephone directly and the confirmation that you receive is different than our web site confirmation numbers, I am deeply sorry that this happen, everything is fine now and I hope we can host you in the future to offer you an Excellent stay as we do it for any guest in our property.

We spent a week at the Ocean Breeze (Sea Garden) March 25 to April 1, 2011.
We were a group of 8, with adults, teenagers and a 10 year old. Check-in was a bit behind schedule, but nothing serious, just an hour or so wait for our room. We passed the time by walking around, checking out the grounds. Beautiful! The grounds staff were constantly grooming & cleaning.

Our rooms were just fine, clean and everything in great condition. Two of our rooms were ocean view and 2 were on the back side of the hotel. Of course the ocean view was beautiful but the "city/mountain" view was pretty at night and we had a good view of the little marina nearby.

Omar our bartender at the pool bar was amazing, he made our trip! Thanks Omar!!

The hotel staff were very friendly and always ready to do anything we needed, even though this is mainly a time share hotel, we were treated very well, as all inclusive guests. The food was always good, no matter what the nightly theme. We walked over to Taco Break, (Off the resort but included in our all inclusive package) for supper one night, excellent Mexican cuisine! Certainly nobody went hungry all week!

I have to also put in a good word for Rosa, our SunQuest rep, she was a great help! Thanks Rosa!!

We took a sightseeing trip with our taxi driver Alfonso, an excellent tour guide!

Hats off to the Staff at Ocean Breeze, you helped make our week in beautiful Nuevo Vallarta that much better! We would return, no questions asked.

Just one note, if you're looking for wild and crazy nightlife, this may not be the place for you.

A group of 13 of us travelled in mid March to this resort. Upon arrival and to the day we left, it was a great stay. No one had any complaints. There is service on the beach and pool side, which we loved! It included food and drinks. This service is included with the all inclusive.
The rooms are nice and spacious. Very clean and well maintained. We always had hot water and never an issue with cleanliness or anything else. There are no balconies, but that was fine - once you opened the sliding doors, it felt like you did have a balcony. The beds are firm, but not hard. We all slept well. We all had a variety of towel made animals made for us! The housekeepers are great. If you want water, leave a note that says "agua por favor" and a large bottle will be left for you. Otherwise, you can get big or small bottles from any of the servers.
The beverages are amazing. They serve corona, corona light, pacifico (our fave) and others all in cans, not draft, unless you want draft. There is a large variety of liquor as well. Wine is Carlo Rossi (okay). You don't need a travel cup, the cups are huge or you can drink out of the can. A travel cup will keep it cool longer, but we ended up not really using ours that much.
The meals: breakfast is buffet. There is plenty to choose from - omelettes, poached eggs, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, etc. There is plenty of variety and the cooks are great at making what you want. Lunch is served by menu regardless of where you want to eat. If you go into the restaurant, they have an amazing menu. If you go to the snack bar, there is a great menu there too. The choices are so great. The burgers are great, the quesadilla's, calamari, pizza, etc. This same menu is there for you on the beach or the pool side. You have to have the salsa and guacomoli...SO GOOD! Dinner is buffet and they they change it up each night to a different theme. Each night was great. You can also get room service for a relatively good price ($4 each time you use it - this is a service fee, anything you order is not charged). You will have to sign, which kind sucked, as you have to wait for the bill, but they were quick. You are not charged for any of this.
Entertainment - there really wasnt much at night. As the resort is small, there werent many people out at night. The piano bar (Blue Bar) was quiet. There was a karaoke night that was fun. That would be the only downfall.
Venture off the resort. Use the free trolly to see Nuevo Vallarta, but I encourage you to visit the town of Bucerias. They have a great market (much cheaper - easy to barter), there are great restaurants (Miguel Angels is the best) and great little bars. Walk around, it is a safe and friendly town. This is our fifth trip there and we have always loved it there the most. Puerto Vallarta is great too...just very busy. You can take busses to either place or a taxi.
There is cute place called Eddies around the corner from the resort. When you leave the resort, go left, turn left at the corner and follow this road for a couple of minutes and its on your right hand side. They have wifi for free. Eddie is a nice older gentleman. They have entertainment every night from 7 to 10.
We did a day trip that included snorkelling, whale watching and then time on a white sandy beach. It was $40 an adult, $15 a child. It was crappy snorkelling, but the day was good. The beach is not free - so bring money. It says the food is included, which it is, but nothing else and if you want a seat on the beach, you will need to buy drinks from a vendor. We did see a mama and baby whale which was great and lucky considering they are nearing the end of the season for them.
When booking a tour/trip...do not go through the resort. That is a rip off as its the exact same trips as they offer on the beach or outside the resort. We recommend that you go with the people on the beach as that is their primary job. The people selling outside the resort are looking for people to do a timeshare meeting as thier primary meeting.
The people are very friendly, so don't be intimidated. Some are trying to sell stuff you don't want, but that's okay, that's thier job. Don't be rude!
Overall, this resort is well worth it's money. Highly recommended. We would return in a heartbeat. You can't beat the service!
