I spent 5 weeks and Mexico at the Marival this year and the resort is like a second home. What makes the resort so special is the fantastic staff! Angel Naranjo is awesome and makes my time there fun while teaching me dancing moves! I miss him, Lupita, Leo, Bryan, Mari, Facundo, Fernando, Julian, Genaro, Ivan, Rueben, Ricardo, Larissa and Robetzy and tend to plan my next stay before I have even gotten done with my vacation. The entire animation crew is fabulous and they truly make the time magical. Jackie at the beach club has a smile that lights up a room and is the hardest working server I have ever met. She goes above and beyond! Jose at Almalfi makes all our dinners 5 Star with his tricks and fire shows. Fidel is also great and remembers my order each time! He also makes a killer Blue Margarita! Pedro is also awesome and greets us each day with a smile! The beach, food, people, pools and shows make this my favorite place to be! I am taking my family in March and I can’t wait to get back!

Good hotel and service. Lots food and drinks in allinclusive. Jooga good but tennisclinic bad: lots of promises but no time to teach.
Best reastaurang in hotel italianstyle AmalFi. Capitain Chistian Aranguile and his crew made exilent food and service was nice. In hotels other restaurangs feeling was as hurry like in factory.

We just returned from our 9th trip to Marival Resort and Suites. As always it was a great trip. the resort is always kept up very good. Everything is very clean and the staff is very good about helping you with anything. We could always find a chair or lounger by the beach to sit in and the evening shows were very good. The speciality restaurants are all very good, wonderful food and service. We always spend 2 weeks at the resort and eat at the buffet often. At times this year the service at the buffet was not as good as in the past. Made a difference in where you were seated as to how good od service you got. Also we were disappointed to find out that the Volare bar was no longer open. we always like to go there for a drink or two, Christobal the bar tender and Josrfina the waitress there were always pleasant to visit with and their service was great! We did find Christobal and Josefina working at other bars this year and there service was still excellent.

stayed at the Grand Marival Nov. 23 - Dec. 7. Chose this hotel with Air Transat because of the 'free" golf offer. Well, be prepared to pay another $ 75.00 US EACH for your cart. Plus we were told the hotel would charge us $7.00 US EACH to book tee times. Amazingly enough, we did not get charged the tee time fee!
Had booked AND paid IN FULL in JUNE!!! Arrived at hotel and we were put in a 1 bedroom in the OLD section. When I said this was not what we had booked and paid for, we want ocean FRONT, they said they classify that as FRONT. We finally got moved 5 days later! I'm waiting to talk to Air Transat about that.
Hotel is nice. Big. doesn't matter what side you book, you both use the whole hotel.
Adults ONLY quiet pool was very nice, when the kids got kicked out of it. the other side - on the grand side - was very loud and noisy! That's where the hot tub was and it was adults ONLY, but was FULL of little kids!!! apparently no one can read the signs and apparently no one cares!
One bedroom ocean FRONT, was very nice. newer. 1 bathroom, shower only. Big balcony with 2 chairs and a little table and a big round table and 4 chairs. One bedroom ocean "front" - more view- was ok, too, older, but 2 bathrooms, one with a tub. Hide a beds a bit uncomfortable, beds a bit hard. Some towels were hit and miss, but a quick trip out to the maid, or a note, solved that.
Ala cartes all ok. the steak house - don't expect to order a steak dinner. It was quite different to what we've had before. Samples of chicken wings, chicken/turkey, and beef. Better to know that going in. buffet was very good.
ALL staff GREAT!!!!! shops were expensive. Bellmen GREAT!!! show was very LOUD!!!!!! VERY LOUD! good for anyone with walking issues. won't go back, too big for our liking. But glad we went.
Probably a 4 but because of room screw up I'm only giving them a 3!

Room Tip: ocean view is fine, can see good view of ocean, on the grand side.

I really enjoyed all the amenities at the resort. I would personally like to thank some of the staff at the Mai Tai Bar. Laura was exceptional with her service and her great personality. Cristobal's customer service was exceptional as well. He always made sure we were comfortable.

Room Tip: Excellent rooms and friendly helpful staff.
